BigD Monthly News Bulletin - October Edition

Hello and Welcome

This is your October edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed in the month just gone and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

Starting off our monthly recap we have the biggest game to launch in BigD......WARDOGS! Wardogs has taken the oceanic gaming world by storm and at BigD we kicked it off with 5 servers, each one giving you a variety of gameplay to suit your style.

Wardogs has been a gap within the gaming industry that many players from the Hell Let Loose and Squad world have wanted, it is a good mix between tactical shooters and arcade style gameplay, sitting in between games the likes of Battlefield and Squad.

If you want to get around Wardogs and the BigD community, just drop on into the BigD discord and see dozens of people playing everyday!

Finishing off the monthly recap we have the OC Hell Let Loose Scrim night and as per usual having a strong turnout with members across the community itching to claim bragging rights.

This event saw team "Kitsune and Budahbarefoot" take on team "Cob3star and Mick42" with Axis team 2 taking out the win.

If you wish to watch the match in full, you can head over to RedRaffles youtube to see the whole game or simply head to this link for the direct video:

Make sure to keep your eyes peeled in the OC discord for any future Hell Let Loose Scrims.

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims

The only event currently booked in for BigD this month will be the Squad Community Fight Night. This will be posted within the next week for the theme and layers to be played, it will run on Saturday the 17th and will be hosted as per usual on one of our public servers for all to play.

For those new to the Community Fight Nights, they are simple open server public events where we play 2-3 specific layers with preselected factions to encourage balance. We have admins in cam capturing all the action and helping to encourage tactical gameplay you don't always get in everyday matches.
However till then we have our usual weekly events "BigD Gaming Ops Nights" featuring such games as Hell Let Loose: Vietnam on Tuesdays, Hell Let Loose on Thursdays and both Squad and Bellum on Saturdays, all kicking off from 7pm AEDT Sydney time.

These events do not require registration, but you can register as a way of getting reminders for when they kick off, simple head to the BigD discord events tab at the top of the discord.

That is all for your October edition of the BigD Monthly bulletin, as per always thank you for stopping by and recapping on the month that has been and the month ahead.

See you all in the discord and in the servers.

BigD Monthly News Bulletin - September Edition

Hello and Welcome

This is your September edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed in the month just gone and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

We don't know about you but for us August went by in the blink of an eye. With both Bellum and Wardogs playtest almost every weekend, we had dozens of people in the discord gaming all weekend long, locked into their gaming chairs and with sleep only for the weak.

We did not run any events in July for Squad or Hell let loose, but as per usual we had our weekly BigD Ops nights and have seen them grow each week, with regular and new faces showing up to have a great night of laughs and meeting new people.

So if you wish to come along to any of our Ops night or general event nights make sure you head over to the BigD discord and check out the events tab for all the events to browse from almost every game we host.

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims

September is shaping up to be our biggest month of the whole year so far as we will see Wardogs releasing tomorrow!

Wardogs is a tactical all out warefare fps where one hundred players split across three teams fight over the control zone. Set in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe on a destructible battlefield where teamwork pays and cash is king.

If you wish to wish list it or purchase it then you can head to the steam store page or to this link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1867240/WARDOGS/
BigD will be hosting 5 servers from day one and with a wide variety of different modes to play on, so get around the community and log into BigD Gaming Wardogs servers.

If you are missed the sign ups then we feel sorry for you because the OC Hell Let Loose scrim night is back and will be underway on Saturday the 12th of September. These scrim nights are the biggest Hell Let Loose events within the BigD community and have signups fill weeks before the event even begins!

So don't miss your chance to be part of the action and keep an eye out of when OC announces them by heading to their discord and watching for any events pings.

The Squad events team will be planning on running another Community Fight Night on Saturday the 26th of September.

For those not familiar with the Community Fight Night events, they are events run on one of our 3 servers with specific maps/layers themed into 3 rounds that are open to the public with admins and affiliated clans all jumping in for coordinated gameplay centered around communication and tactics.

Signs ups will be available in the events section of the BigD discord in the coming weeks.

Summing It All Up

To sum it all up all we can say is that September is the month to be logged on and ready to go because it is packed full of new releases and events and you will not want to miss out.

So from all of us here at BigD, we will see you on the servers and in the discord.

Wardogs Launches Friday 11th September!

The wait is finally over — WARDOGS launches tomorrow!

It’s time to get hyped and come together as a community to celebrate the launch. We’ve got the WARDOGS Launch Event running all day, so jump in whenever you can — drop in, drop out, squad up and enjoy the chaos.

Make sure you’ve registered your interest in the launch event on discord so we know who’s keen to get involved and we can help get squads organised.

Whether you’re jumping on first thing or joining later in the day, everyone is welcome. Let’s get the community together, form some squads, explore what WARDOGS has to offer and start building up that in-game cash!

FIVE SERVERS AT LAUNCH
And to make things even better, we’ll have 5 BigD servers up and running from launch!
Three of these are BigD Gaming servers, as originally planned, with an additional two servers generously gifted to the community by a long-time BigD community member.

A massive thank you for the support — contributions like this are a great example of what makes the BigD community what it is.
Our launch server lineup will include:
3 × Softcore
1 × Hardcore
1 × Infantry Only

SERVER QUEUE SKIP & OTHER AUTOMATIONS
We are already working on a solution to provide Server Queue Skip via a smooth, automated process as soon as we can do so. Stay upto date on the BigD Discord for news when it iis online and how to link up.

POWERED BY QONZER
Our server provider for WARDOGS is Qonzer, who we’ve built a great relationship with through our HLL, HLL Vietnam and DayZ servers — and now we’re bringing that partnership across to WARDOGS.
We’re looking forward to working with Qonzer again and getting five servers online and ready for the wider OCE community from day one.

See you on the battlefield.

BigD Monthly News Bulletin - July Edition

Hello and Welcome

This is your July edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed in the month just gone and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

Looking back at June we had one major social game take place, with HTA and TVG going head to head in Squad in an action packed event that saw both hilarious gameplay and friendly insults.
We unfortunately were unable to get a recording of the gameplay for you due to our media team all being unavailable, but for future scrims we hope to get highlight reels out to you all.

If you want to get involved in scrim with other clans but are not yet a part of one, make sure to head over to the Affiliated tab on the website and see who you may like to apply for.

Turning our attention to the largest clan in the BigD Hell Let Loose community "Only Clans" or OC for short. The leaders over at OC wanted to share a recent scrim they had with a group outside of the BigD Community called "Caveirias".

Much like the well known OC scrims that fill servers to the brim here in BigD, the OC vs Caveiras scrim saw a 36v36 battle take place with all out tactical carnage taking place with OC taking out the win.
But don't just take our word for it as you can watch the match in full over on "SmithersCast" channel via this link:https://www.youtube.com/live/eNwKgEfqoRM

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims

Well it is official! BigD Gaming will be hosting WARDOGS servers!
Although WARDOGS does not yet have an official release date, they have stated it will be in winter of this year, so make sure you keep eyes out for when that is announced.

But if you want to have a deep dive into what to expect from BigD we have linked here an article on the website for all the information you want to know.

The wait is finally over for your Squad events as we return with the Squad Community Fight Night on Saturday 25th of July with the theme of this event being all about Invasion.
The Squad events team have hand picked 3 layers and its factions to offer you an experience as close to being balanced as what they can offer. So if you want to play an open to public event that focuses on several hours of strong communication, coordination and tactical gameplay, whilst helpign teach others, then come along for the night.

All of the Squad Community Fight Nights are fully recorded and have multiple admins at the ready in game ready to assist.

For all more information head over to the BigD Discord and look in the Events, all details will be posted there in the coming days.

Summing It All Up

To wrap this all up we are seeing more information drop on upcoming games we are hosting and more events around the BigD community. Ranging from our main events, to clans holding scrims on the side. So there is always something going on within the community space.

But until next month, that is all from us at BigD and we will see you in the servers and on the discord.

The month of June was a quiet one for events, with no Squad or Hell Let Loose events running, but future events being planned so make sure to keep eye out on the usual places, such as BigD discord and all our affiliates discords for the clan events they run most months.

On the topic of clan events we saw TVG clan run their "Mordhau Madness" event and was an amazing night of laughs and games with the clan and guests. This event will be a constant reoccurring event from TVG clan and will return after a short break.

If you want to get involved head over to the TVG discord, link is at the bottom of the article.

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims
Winter is the time of the gamers and things are really starting to heat up, just not outside.

Squad events will be making their return this month and will run every 6 weeks, the Squad Events team wants to make sure these events are running close enough and far enough apart to keep everyone excited.

These events will be the same theme as how we have run the Fogless Fight Nights, the events you all know and love.

Here we go everyone! It is finally here after all this waiting, Hell Let Loose Vietnam is about to drop on 13th of August and we are all excited and ready to take to the battlefield with our M16's and Napalm.

BigD will be hosting servers day one, ensuring that there is high quality, well admined servers for all of Oceanic to play and have an amazing time, while gaining a small amount of PTSD.

If you want to become an admin for BigD HLLV you can apply on the BigD website in the Hell Let Loose Vietnam game tab.

Now turning our attention to yet another game releasing on the 19th of August we have Wardogs. For those who aren't familiar with Wardogs it is a tactical all out warfare FPS game where one hundred players split across three team fight over the control zone.
Set in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe on a destructible battlefield where teamwork pays and cash is king.

To stay up to date head over to the BigD discord and check out the Wardogs channel.

The BigD Youtube Channel has hit a major milestone!

The month of April has seen what years of hard work from hundreds of BigD members of the community can achieve. With the BigD Youtube just ticking over the 15k subscribers mark.

BigD Monthly News Bulletin - May Edition

Hello and Welcome

This is your May edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed in the month just gone and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

This month was full of events and was actioned packed as always!

Kicking off the events we have the incredible OC Scrim Night that ran on the 17th of April, filling a full server of RSVP'd community members. The results of the recent scrim below show a very close game with the captains "ScubyDo & Cob3star21" of the Allies team taking the victory 3-2.

You can also catch all the action of the scrim by heading over to OC member "Tattoo's" YouTube channel or follow this link:

These events always fill up weeks before the event, so if you ever wish to play in one make sure you head over to the OC Discord and keep eyes out in their announcements channel with a link to their discord at the bottom of the article.

Turning to the Squad side of the community, the Squad admin team ran another Fogless Fight Night on the 11th of April with close matches across the whole event!

Much like the OC Scrim events, the Fogless Fight Night events fill an entire server and are preorganised layers and factions.

What is Fogless Fight Night you may ask.....

Fogless Fight Night is BigD’s Squad event designed to bring better coordination, smarter gameplay, and stronger community vibes to your Saturday nights. Whether you're a seasoned player, a regular pubber, or totally new to Squad, this event is all about creating a more rewarding gameplay experience — no pressure, just better teamwork and more interesting matches.

We’re curating a set of interesting layers, aimed at longer, more tactical matches without the risk of a bad faction-disadvantaged start. It’s the perfect mix of organized and focused play — a night where you can practice positioning, teamwork, and map control in a more controlled environment.

BigD Monthly News Bulletin - January Edition [The Year of 2025]

Hello and Welcome

This is your January & February Edition edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed in th previous month and what's to come for the month ahead. This edition we have combined both January and February together in order to bring you all the updates that came about in 2025.

We apologise for the lateness of this edition but it has been a busy time for the Media team and we are back on track.

2025 Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

Looking back at the year of 2025 we have seen massive changes within BigD such as but not limited to; community and clan hosted games nights/events, battlefield 6 community hosting, major website overhauls, overhauls for Squads blackened tools in BigD as well as BigD Media team becoming affiliated with OWI for Squad.

Starting with BF6, although its time was short lived, BigD hosted a total of 3 servers which saw pop from day one! Battlefield was a great edition and a refreshing change to the community for the time in which we hosted and our community gained a lot of enjoyment 360 no scoping noobs again.

Turning out attention to the Hell Let Loose stage, we saw OC clan deliver month after month with their "Clash of Captains" events. These events attracted a full 50v50 server and gained a large following over 2025 with going from success to success!

These events will continue into the future and OC clan invites all affiliated members to get in on the action!

Switching over to Squad events, our admin team ran several Fogless Fight Nights run throughout the year and many more planned for the year ahead. Fogless Fight Nights aim to bring a customised match of set layers and factions to aim for even balancing across several game modes, aiming to give players the highest quality gameplay session they have ever had.

Over the year all of these events were open to the public and saw a packed server with ques lining up to get a taste of the action! Keep your eyes out for future events to be announced.

One of the famous things Squad is...well, famous for, is causing massing server issues when Epic goes down or an update means you cant find any servers. So we decided to take matters into our own hands and with the genius brains of a select few, we were able to bring a simple secondary way of joining our servers via the website.

As well as making our whitelisting system fully automatic and introducing more rewards for whitelisting for those who help lead squad on our servers. These changes have been a massive success and we will continue to evolve as needed.

Continuing on the Squad bandwagon! 2025 saw the years of hard work from our Media team recognised by the creators of Squad, OWI (Off World Industries). This recognition came with OWI sharing some of our most cinematic clips with the world as well as offering to all future Squad players a 30% discount on steam keys. (We have dropped hwo to redeem at the bottom of the article).

The media team will continue to work with OWI this year to have BigD media team recognised for the outstanding work of 2025. So watch this space for more to come.

We now finish our year that was with the website overhaul that took place back in March 2025. This overhaul saw BigD's website move to a whole new sleeker and more powerful platform that gave us more tools and resources to customise for the benefits of the community at large.

That is all for our year in review, we could of added dozens of events, but we know we need to keep it short and sharp for everyone! So thank you for an amazing 2025 and we look forward to what this year will bring.

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims

There is currently no events planned for the remainder of February, however events are planend for March, so keep an eye ou ton the BigD Discord and all affiliated clans discords.

Message From Our Community Managers & Senior Admins

What a year 2025 was for the community, from new game releases, to major upgrades to our games backend systems, to media exposure achievements, we have done so much! We have a lot planned this year across the board and want to say, thank you for making 2025 the year it was and we look forward to seeing you all this year, in the discord, in voip and in the games we host.

In Early December we had OC and TVG clans both run events for Hell Let Loose and Halo.

OC clan ran their OC SRIM NIGHT with a packed server once again, pumping out non-stop action and entertainment as members from clans such as FYS, GALA, CHMA, bD, HR and NRD all took to the battlefield for bragging rights.

TVG clan is known for running events for many different games, such as halo and secret labs, which was saw run for a Halloween event back in October. So make sure to head over to their discord and make any suggestions on what event you want to see them run next.

⭐Why are you nominating them?
Toren truly is a pillar of our community and a benchmark for what a great admin should be. He is consistently helpful, ensuring new and veteran players alike have the best experience. His attentive nature means he's always on top of server issues.

💬 Community Support
Toren's dedication to community support is unmatched. He's often the first admin to jump into text or to answer questions, resolve disputes, and clarify rules. He manages to be both firm and fair, ensuring a non-toxic environment where everyone feels respected and heard.

📊 Activity & Seeding
Toren consistently puts in the hours, often during quieter times, to ensure our servers are populated and ready for action. This commitment is vital for the health of our community, guaranteeing that players always have a place to jump into the fight.

Admin of the Month - October '25

BigD Gaming is supported by dedicated admins who volunteer their own time to ensure the entire community has top-level gaming servers for all to enjoy.

It is only right for us to reward and recognise those admins who go above and beyond for the benefit of everyone.

📝 Admin of the Month Nomination

👤 Admin Name: Rhysjamo
🎮 Game/Area: Squad

⭐Why are you nominating them?
Rhys has put in hard work this month, being by far our most active Admin, responding with little delay to tickets and in-game !admin pings. His quick-response times have been something we recognised and value greatly, in addition to his assistance to the Squad SA Team with crafting the new Rule 9 which came into effect earlier this month.

💬 Community Support
Helped an Admin on how to do action-logs. He worked with Keith and Kevy G in !admin pings and tickets helping them with the paperwork whilst they keep track in-game. As well as a lot of public relations work in regards to the kickback on the previous Rule 9 changes.

📊 Activity & Seeding
Discord presence has been massive, whether in tickets or response to !admin pings. Did miss the FFN Event but did coordinate and motivate his clan to join.

🤝 Teamwork & Initiative
As stated previously, Rhys took the initiative and went out of his way to help mitigate the PR disaster from our previous (and controversial) change to Rule 9. Following his lengthy discussions with the community, he assisted the Squad SA Team in implementing the community's wishes into the current Rule 9.

🏆 Final Pitch
Rhys deserves to win because he was a big part in helping to mitigate a PR disaster, and directly working to help craft the new rule, and where he lacks in hours, or seeding, he more than makes up for in his dedication to tickets/pings and helping other admins with their backend/paperwork whilst they continue to monitor in-game.

Thank you Rhys for demonstrating true BigD values and supporting our community.
As a token of appreciation, a $25 Steam Giftcard is coming your way.

Thank you to all of our admins - we could not run BigD Gaming without your contribution across the team.
Stay tuned next month for our Admin of the Month.

Note: very sorry for the delay in releasing our Admin of the Month post - circumstances behind the scenes held this month up.

Hello and Welcome

This is your October edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

Now September was a BIG ONE here at BigD so this article will not be one to miss!

This past month we kicked off with the usual OC (Only Clans) monster size events for Hell Let Loose, these events are always filled up within days of posting and feature some of the best gameplay and tactics that Hell Let Loose has to offer in the Oceanic region.

This month saw team captains Mulch and Scubydo lead the Allies to victory in a nail biting 3-2, coming down to the wire in a heated back and forth match, if you didn't get to play in the match just gone then you can watch the full match below casted by "Breezy Gaming".
If you wish to play in the next OC scrim then you are invited to their discord to keep watch for the next event that is looking to be run sometime in December. We have dropped a link to their discord at the bottom on the article.

Now turning our attention to the Squad scene, with just having our FFN (Fogless Fight Night) wrapping up on Saturday with an action packed full server public event! The Squad FFN nights aim to bring a chance for the public to play 3 pre-organised rounds with set maps and factions for optimal balancing.

In these events the admins aim to create a high quality set of matches where veterans of the game can teach new plays the tricks of the trade and help new people meet all the Squad clans of the BigD Community.

If you missed the event just past then you can go back and watch the full 3 matches on media member "TimTams" Twitch account, TimTam brushed off his streaming gear and captures hours of back and forth gameplay!

https://www.twitch.tv/tvgtimtam
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2582892329?filter=all&sort=time

If you wish to play in the next FFN then all you have to do is head over to the BigD discord and look out for the pings in the Squad News channel, these events are open to the public with no reserve slots, so simply show up and have a great time!
But now for the biggest new BigD has had in BigD Squad for some time! In conjunction with OWI (Off World Industries) dropping the Unreal 5 Engine update, BigD Media Team has officially became partners with Squad!

This means that you will be seeing a lot more cinematic footage captured by our Media Team in order to help promote the incredible work that the Squad Developers have put into the game over the past almost 10 years!
But that isn't everything our partnership has to offer! BigD Gaming now officially can offer anyone wishing to buy Squad steam keys at 30% off!

We have made a nice article post with all the steps and details of this partnership and you can view that on the Websites main page or via this link: https://www.bigd.com.au/news/games/squad-bigd-gaming-are-now-affiliated-partners-r49/

Admin of the Month - August '25

BigD Gaming is supported by dedicated admins who volunteer their own time to ensure the entire community has top-level gaming servers for all to enjoy.

It is only right for us to reward and recognise those admins who go above and beyond for the benefit of everyone.

For August 2025, the Community Manager team in consultation with our Senior Leaders wish to shoutout:
@k3ithos

Keith's nomination by the SQUAD Senior Admins
Keith has quickly established himself as one of our most reliable and effective Squad Admins. Whilst he doesn’t seed as often as others, he more than makes up for it through his outstanding late-night coverage. He regularly stays active in-game and on Discord into the early hours of the morning, ensuring the server is cared for when our admin coverage is otherwise very limited.

His positive attitude makes him approachable both for players-in-need and fellow admins. Keith consistently handles difficult situations with calmness and good judgment, leaving no room for unnecessary escalation. He has not had any negative player interactions and contributes to a welcoming environment that reflects well on the community.

Keith is also proactive in teamwork. He shares information with fellow admins to improve response times and player experience, and he is highly receptive to calls for help or Discord pings. His initiative has had a direct, measurable impact - notably, he implemented a quick-fix for the Squad server browser issue that made BigD servers far easier to connect to compared with others in OCE. This improvement benefited both admins and the player base.

As a relatively new admin, Keith has already distinguished himself as one of the best in the team and is personally one of the easiest and most enjoyable admins to work alongside. His reliability, initiative, and overall presence make him an ideal candidate for recognition this month.

Thank you Keith for demonstrating true BigD values and supporting our community.
As a token of appreciation, a $25 Steam Giftcard is coming your way.

Thank you to all of our admins - we could not run BigD Gaming without your contribution across the team.
Stay tuned next month for our Admin of the Month for September!

BigD Monthly News Bulletin - September Edition

Hello and Welcome

This is your September edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

In August we saw a BigD Arma 3 Operation run by CannonFodder, called Operation Mad God. For those who are not familiar with what this mod is based off, it is loosely inspired from the movie "Mad God". A nightmare underworld of tortured souls, ruined cities and wretched monstrosities!

If you missed this event you can read an incredible mission debriefing on the entire event, it covers it in such detail you will feel like you played in the very event yourself! You can find the link to the debrief here: https://www.bigd.com.au/knowledge/arma/aar_mad_god_the_cycle/

This event was a fast signing up event that only had limited spaces, if you wish to get involved in any future Arma 3 Operations then make sure to keep an eye on the Arma news section of the BigD discord.

But now with the last month of winter behind us the hibernation of sitting in our warm gaming rooms from our over priced GPU's is over! We did see two massive topics that we know everyone is excited for and we must ask some crucial questions.....

Did you pre-order Battlefield 6?

And are you ready for Hell Let Loose Vietnam?

Both of these announcements coming in August it has given us gamers something to look forward to. So strap in, set aside some money, clear some space on your drives and get ready.
If you want to get amongst the chat for Hell Let Loose Vietnam and BF6 then head over to the discord in these chat spaces.

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims

In just a few days OC clan will be hosting their usual Hell Let Loose event nights with this one is set to be we believe their biggest yet! With currently 100 people already RSVP'd for this event, spots are absolutely limited! If you want to get involved in these events then then you can head over to https://discord.com/channels/837949156853153843/1373451625938681906 and RSVP.

The event is being held on the 5th of September at 7:30pm AEST and is a closed event to affiliated clans and friends. If you wish to get involved but are not a clan member of BigD then you can head on over to our discord or the BigD website and check out one of the many clans that BigD has to offer, ranging from casual players to sweaty tactics lovers, there is something for everyone.

We have included links for the website and discord at the bottom of the article.

If you miss this game then you will be able to see a video covering the event in the October edition of the BigD Monthly Bulletin.

Also upcoming this month TVG will be running their Arma Halo event and is planned to be open to affiliates and public members! The first event is planned to be run on the 9th of September and we encourage you to join the TVG discord to reach out and register your interest.

Sign ups will be available in the near future and we have included a link at the bottom of this article for the TVG clan discord.

Message From Our Community Managers & Senior Admins

August has been an exciting month for the Community Managers, Seniors Admins and a few select individuals within the team. We have been working hard behind the scenes to start to bring you some major quality of life changes, upgrades and new editions to the website and for the games we host.

Whilst we wont yet reveal all the upcoming changes and new editions, we thought we would show you just a taste of what is to come.

Under the Squad section of the website you will now see a big red button (who doesn't love a big red button) that says "click to join Squad Server 1".
Our community managers and admin team have been hard at work making joining BigD servers just that little bit easier. With the known issues that EOS has brought us and the recent issues with the Squad server browser being spoofed/hacked, we thought it was a nice quality of life upgrade with servers 2 and 3 buttons soon to follow.

As we said previously, this simple red button is just a taste of what is to come, so keep an eye on the website and on the discord for future announcements on website and game upgrades. You will see announcements typically in these following channels:

But that is all for this month, thank you for stopping by and continuing to support the BigD community!

BigD Monthly News Bulletin - August Edition

Hello and Welcome

This is your August edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

The month of July has been a steady and rather quiet month, but that's what comes with short days and cold nights! So here is what you may have missed whilst you were curled up in a ball, clinging to the warmth of your overheating 1080ti, wishing you would upgrade already.

In the muddy war torn land of Hell Let Loose we saw another OC clan & affiliates scrim on the 4th of July, which saw the Axis team win over Allies 4-1, lead by captains "Beefy" and "Rafiki". You can watch the entire match below which was cast and commentated by Shewy.

Also included below is a full teams list for those who played in the scrim.

Turning to our Squad news for last month, you would of noticed that we chose not to run a FFN (Fogless Fight Night). We chose to skip the month of July so we can future plan a big event for when the unreal 5 engine upgrade releases within the next few weeks. This engine upgrade will bring Squad into a whole new era and has a massive roadmap ahead with new factions, layer reworks and gunplay reworks.

So despite it being a quiet month for BigD Squad with events/scrims, our media team wishes to pass on a video for you to watch to keep your hunger for squad alive. This video is of course our most requested TOW vs Everything series. Enjoy!

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims

Now just because the temperature is low doesn't mean things aren't starting to heat up! We will see another OC event run on September 5th. This event is still a closed affiliated event, so if you wish to get involved you can by simply joining up with one of BigD clans.

Although our Squad event did not go ahead for July, we will be aligning another event with the release of Unreal engine 5, this will hopefully be for late August or early September.
To keep up to date and don't miss your chance to play by ensuring you keep an eye on the Squad News channel on the BigD Discord.

If you are craving some Arma 3 operations then you are in luck! TVG clan will soon be running Arma Halo events on a regular basis, with these events planned to be open to affiliates and public members! The first event is planned to be run on the 13th of September and we encourage you to join the TVG discord to reach out and register your interest.

Sign ups will be available in the near future and we have included a link at the bottom of this article for the TVG clan discord.

Message From Our Community Managers & Senior Admins

As per always the Community Managers and Senior Admins wish to thank everyone for helping to donate, seed, play and support all of the BigD Gaming servers. If you wish to donate to help keep our servers running long into the future, you can do so by going to the BigD Website subscriptions section or by clicking this link https://www.bigd.com.au/subscriptions/

If donating isn't your thing then we always welcome BigD Members to help seed or administrate our servers, every little bit helps to shape the community and many hands make light work.

But that is all we have for your August edition of the BigD Monthly New Bulletin, so thank you for dropping by and we will see you in the discord and in the servers.

BigD Monthly News Bulletin - July Edition

Hello and Welcome

This is your July edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials
June has had a couple of key standouts with the biggest ones being our discord passing of 10,000 members in March and 11,000 in June!

Squad in the Months of May and June saw new style of events called "Open server Fogless Fight Night", these events are open to the public on our second server and are aimed at a specific selection of layers and factions as well as increased teamwork.
This gives veterans and new players alike a sense of intense milsim combat they they don't often get to play in general public games. If you missed this event you can keep eyes out in the squad event channel in the BigD discord for more events in the coming weeks. We will also be looking to have these events live streamed by our media team members, so keep eyes out for who will be streaming them when we post events in the future.

To continue on our recent events, OC (Only Clans) one of BigD's affiliated clans recently organised a 49v49 Hell Let Loose affiliates match on the 2nd of May, this event saw BigD affiliated clans clash in an intense Utah Beach scrim. You can watch the whole match at the bottom of this article from the admin cam viewpoint of "Rottenbob".

Our social media focus over the past year has been on Shorts for Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram and Facebook with event coverage and highlight reels. Moving into the Month of June/July you will see more content across 3 major games we host, Squad, Hell Let Loose and Arma Reforger, this footage will be a mixture of FPV and Admin cam footage in order to give you the most entertaining clips to get you keen to finish work and jump onto the BigD servers.

To finish off the month of June, the Arma Reforger team has been working hard to revamp the servers and mod listings and now supporting "Modern Combat & Mod Support". This brings a combat overhaul, further mod support and new conflict scenarios!

You can view the post in its full in the Reforger News section of the BigD Disord.

Upcoming News, Events/Scrims
BigD Squad will be holding their next event on July 5th on server 2 for the very popular Fogless Fight Nights and is open to the public, sign ups/registration of interest will go up in the BigD discord in the Squad News channel.

OC clan will be conducting another affiliate clans event on July 4th, this event is closed to affiliated clan members, but if you wish to start getting involved then you can jump on board with one of our many BigD Clans!
You can view these clan on our discord in the affiliates chat or on the website under clubs. Links at the bottom of this thread.

TVG clan will also be conducting two events both open to the public, these events will run on July 11th and July 18th, sign ups for these events can be found via the TVG discord.
You can access their discord via the affiliates chat in BigD which will have their discord link or at the bottom of this thread.

TCLS clan hosted a Star Citizen event and was co-run by FJGR clan, the event was a massive success and will have another one organised in the near future. These are typically a closed event to clan members, so if you want to get involved in any Star Citizen events run by the BigD clans, you can reach out to either FJGR via their discords which are linked below.

10k Discord Members!

We made it! Thank you all who activate our discord with great banter & meaningful content.

BigD Gaming in its early days was built around the classic Forums website - still in the background for the memories: https://www.bigd.com.au/forums/
Then along came Discord in 2015 and it has fast established its place in the gaming world as the place to build and service communities.

We officially snuck over 10,000 Members early morning of 2nd March
but held off announcing with the major website upgrade generating a lot of noise and we wanted to be sure we were safety over the mark.

Onto the next 10,000......

Website Software Upgrade Completed

We can now confirm our website software upgrade has been completed successfully!
Now is the time for those impacted to take action to ensure there is limited disruption to you.

Logging In
A change with the new software is you can no longer login using your USERNAME - please use your email address you used to register on the website.

Relink External Profiles
All Admins, Affiliated Members & Donators MUST relink their Steam & Discord profiles ASAP to avoid losing Server Queue Skip, In Game Admin Permissions, Discord access, etc.
We have an FAQ on how to Link your External profiles here: https://www.bigd.com.au/faq/how-to-link-discord-steam-windows-eos-r1/

Cut Off Period
We are running on a backedup Server Queue Skip file from 5pm Sunday 9th March - this was to avoid the entire linked userbase losing their Server Queue Skip.
We are setting a cutoff period for relinking of this Friday 14th March 5pm, afterwards those not relinked weill lose their server queue skip.
Why the cutoff period? New donators and affiliates who link for the First time in the cutoff period will not automatically get their Server Queue Skip, to avoid those being impacted, we need to move fast.

If you need support relinking or are a new donator, please visit our Discord & open a Support Ticket.

Website Software Upgrade

The base software used for our website has had a major update come through, resulting in some third party addons currently in use, becoming unusable once we migrate across.
We have been testing the new software and conducted several trial runs of migrating our website data with the aim to minimise the impacts & understand where processes will need to change.

When is Migration Happening?
Over the next week, we will be undertaking the upgrade to the new website software, pending the impacts of Cyclone Alfred.
The public website will be put in upgrade mode, with only content pages viewable.
There will be no access to user profiles, external profile linking, support tickets, admin/affiliated clubs, subscriptions management.
If you need assistance for the above unavailable functions during migration, please submit a Community Management Discord Ticket.

Impacts of Migration to New Software

The Year That Was 2024 - #wrapped

What a year 2024 has been at BigD Gaming!
We have seen our media channels thrive, our Discord grow, and expansions in games across almost every genre. 2024 was packed with excitement and amazing people. So let’s look back at 2024 and relive the year that was at BigD Gaming.

Our Discord
The BigD Discord at the start of 2024 was 6,700 strong! Over the course of the year, we have seen massive growth, and as the year ends, we now boast a staggering 9,100+ members! This influx of new members and Discord growth is a clear testament to our dedication to hosting games and providing a fun and mature community space on Discord, social media, and our website.

Affiliated Groups
This drive in growth has been massively supported by the public BigD clan: [bD] Members and all our affiliated groups that call BigD Gaming home. These groups have been the heartbeat of our community for an incredible 19 years! Furthermore, affiliated groups have seen remarkable growth throughout 2024, with new partnerships and collaborations enriching the community experience and expanding our reach across various gaming platforms.

Admin Teams
Our admin teams have been the driving force behind our hosted games, providing us all with a stable and fun gaming environment. Their tireless efforts in managing servers, organizing events, and ensuring fair play have been instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our community.

Hosted and Community Games
This year, we continued to host and expand on multiple games and genres with great success! Here’s a list of the games we have hosted and continue to support:
SQUAD: Thriving with up to 3 populated servers, offering regular events, numerous affiliated groups catering to different play styles & drive to grow the OCE playerbase.
Hell Let Loose: Maintaining a strong presence with 2 servers, backed by a truely diverse, community playerbase.
DayZ: introduced our mates from Aussie Paradise to the BigD Gaming world, bring in their server & players, along with building up the  eexperience via continous improvement.
Squad44: it had its starts over the course of the year - looking forward to 2025 with the Pacific expansion coming soon...

Pop-Up Servers
In addition to our core hosted games, we’ve embraced pop-up servers to offer dynamic experiences for our community. These include:
RUST: Introduced seasonal wipes and community-driven building contests, offering fresh challenges and opportunities for creativity. More coming to BigD on RUST in 2025.....
ARK: Supported both PvE and PvP gameplay with rotating maps, catering to a broad base..
Minecraft: community-built worlds.

Community Favorites
Alongside our officially hosted games, we also love to dive into other games where our community comes together for fun. Some of these include:
World of Warships: Hosted fleet battles and strategy discussions, with an active in-game clan under the BigD Gaming banner for shared good times.
Star Citizen: Organized exploration events and trading expeditions.
Crab Game & Other Social Games: Added spontaneous fun to community nights.
War Thunder: Featured squad-based air and tank battles, supported by an active in-game group under the BigD Gaming banner.
DCS: Expanded with training sessions and cooperative missions.

From The Media Team
What a year it has been for our social media! For those who may not yet know, BigD has been growing steadily in the social media space, with a presence on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. We’ve been posting developer interviews, community scrims, tutorials, and reels/shorts.
Here are some of the highlights:
TikTok: Grew to 5,400+ followers and achieved 2.4 million video views, featuring engaging clips and community shoutouts.
YouTube: Reached over 15,000 subscribers and 3.9 million video views, showcasing in-depth tutorials, live streams, and behind-the-scenes content.
This growth has been supported by a diverse and dedicated media team that has put in countless hours to fulfill our mission: “Bring content from the community, back out into the community.”

What’s Ahead in 2025?
New website coming with greater technical abilities, continued building of systems & automation, growing the community via new games, stronger [bD] Members group + promoting our affiliates.
Before we roll into 2025, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you who supported and helped make BigD Gaming a strong and welcoming community. We look forward to seeing you all in 2025 and beyond. Here’s to another amazing year of gaming together!

Squad44 (formerly Post Scriptum) Server Launch

In the past month there has been excitement in the gaming world with news of Post Scriptum being brought out by the Developers of SQUAD and now rebranded as Squad44 with a development plan into 2024 to bring this game to a new level.
BigD Gaming was the first Australian community to host Post Scriptum servers right back when the game was in pre beta- now we are ready to launch our very own Squad 44 Server.
We have been busy behind the scenes over the past couple of weeks preparing the hardware, software config and building a dedicated admin team to provide Squad44 players in the OCE region an awesome server to play on.
See our Squad44 portal on the website for full details and server rules: https://www.bigd.com.au/squad44/

What is Squad 44?
Formerly known as Post Scriptum, Squad 44 is the most authentic WW2 first-person shooter, featuring 20 large-scale battlefields, upwards of 80 realistic WW2 weapons, and over 50 true-to-life vehicles. You must prioritize communication, coordination, and teamwork to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Key Features
Fight in large-scale 40 vs. 40 battles Four major factions, including the armies and military branches of the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany More than 50 highly-detailed vehicles, including armored tanks and cars Over 80 authentic weapons, including the iconic American M1 Garand, the German MG42, and the British Lee Enfield 20 historically accurate maps based on real-world archives, maps, and aerial photographs A huge variety of roles and classes, such as medic, machine gunner, and anti-tank positions A slew of game modes, including Offensive, Invasion, and King of the Hill, among many others
BigD is your home of Squad44 in Australia
BigD Gaming, a community-driven organization established in 2006, initially began its operations by hosting local servers for the Project Reality mod, based on Battlefield 2. Since then, BigD has consistently provided hosting services for cooperative-focused first-person shooter games like SQUAD (a contemporary forerunner to Squad44), Hell Let Loose (a notable World War II game), and various others.
BigD Gaming is a voluntarily run entity, proudly presenting a vibrant multi-clan gaming community situated in Australia. It features proactive administrators, community involvement through events, responsiveness to feedback, giveaways, and additional offerings.

HLL Servers Get Some Tech Love

Hey there - we would just like to start off our news post by saying Thankyou to everyone who has and continues to contribute to an awesome Hell Let Loose community at BigD Gaming. We would not exist without the support of players and our volunteer Admins.
On top of today's update of improvements, we are eager to continue improving what we offer. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome in the BigD Discord server.
Now I'm sure you have all noticed some extra features to our BigD #1 server in recent weeks. The short summary of the work being done, is an upgrade to our admin tools to solve some issues we were having with the previous tools - plus also introduce new ways to enjoy our server and earn queue skip whitelisting.

New Seeding for VIP
To solve some issues with the previous system not rewarding people accurately for seeding, we can now accurately track your active or afk seeding commitments. As a secondary bonus for seeding, you will also receive a 3x multiplier when map voting for your favourite map!
To earn VIP server queue skip (whitelisting), you will need to seed (play in the server or idle afk) for at least 1 hour in a calendar week when the server player count is below 40.
Pro Tip -  Type !vip in game to see how you are progressing on your way to VIP status.

Map Voting
The previous system was a random map rotation, which unfortunately meant sometimes the same maps would come up repeatedly.

Now we have the ChatGPT of map voting, with it’s added intelligence, you should see some variety to your games, while also stopping day and night versions of the same map coming up for vote.

Challenges
For another way to enjoy VIP, while also trying out some different classes or guns, complete all challenges to earn the the status.

Challenges reset Monday 5PM AEST, get it done that night and have the remainder of the week VIP.

Check out the #hll-challenges channel on our discord server for details on the challenges each week.

Once again, Thankyou to all who choose our server to play on BigD and who contribute to a strong player community.

Cheers,
BigD Hell Let Loose Admin Leadership

BigD Gaming Media

Hello BigD Community!

Today we are going to be sharing with you everything to do with BigD Media. We will be sharing where it all began, who is behind the helm and what the rest of 2023 loos like for us in the media team.

Where It All Began:

Caste your mind way back to April 28th 2014, BigD Youtube launched it's very first video with the launch of its official trailer. This was the era when BigD hosted games such as Arma 2, Arma 3, Project Reality and DayZ.

This was a time when BigD was growing as a community, hosting amazing games and producing amazing content for the whole community to see and set the path for how BigD Media would grow over the years.

Where Are We Now:

Now fast forward 12 years and the Media Team Senior Admin role was taken on by Ethereal.

For the past almost 4 years, Ethereal has been slowly growing the Media Team and the platforms in which we are currently creating content on. BigD Media is now across Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, tiktok and has a wider reach than ever before.
Although we know that a large presence across multiple platforms allows us to show our content to more people around the world, there is no mistaking that our Youtube Channel has been our biggest success! With recently reaching 5k subscriber......

and a video to reach over 1 MILLION views!

Who Is BigD Media and What Do We Do:
BigD Media Team is no small team, we are a large diverse group of video editors, game footage capturers, streamers and commentators, who all work together to create content for the BigD Media channels and the affiliated streamers of BigD.
Examples of such affiliated members are guys like Noppers and Traumastoo, who you will see them streaming and commentating BigD events for games such as Hell Let Loose and representing the BigD Media Team on their respective twitch channels.

It is this diversity and broader outlook that has allowed us to grow in the way we have and to take on board more and more members from the community.

It has never been about being the biggest or the best in the world. Our focus has been and always will be, to create content for the community, from the community and to be able to make content that is both enjoyable and relatable.

Where To Now:
We always believe in setting goals as it gives us something to strive towards and keeps us as hungry as day one. We wont give away to much of what the future holds, where is the fun in that!

So make sure you keep in tune with all our four media platforms and to subscribe to them all so you do not miss a second of the action.

We will be keeping you well informed of how the Media Team is going and any major projects we will be taking on, so keep your eyes firmly on the website for upcoming articles.

SQUAD is back....

Cast your mind back to December 2015 when Squad official launched and so did BigD’s first ever Squad server. Fast forward to October 2022 and BigD decided after 7 years to take a break.
Well, we are now proud to announce that after a 6 month break BigD has officially relaunched our Squad server.

Before we get into what BigD and Squad will look like moving into the future. For those that do not know Squad here is a quick briefing.

What Is Squad?

Squad is a mass multiplayer online player vs player game consisting of 50 players either side. Each team has a simple task of capturing strategic points in order. This is called AAS (advance and secure), RAAS (Random Advance and Secure) and Invasion (enemy starts at the closest point to you but is the same principle as AAS).

Squad also features massive arsenals of weapons and vehicles across ten playable factions, some of these factions include Australians, USA, China, Russia and Insurgents.

The game is won and lost on a ticket point system, each side having a certain amount of tickets or points as some like to call them. Tickets are lost by eliminating players, vehicles and taking strategic points. Tickets can be won by taking back lost strategic points.

Now that you have an idea of what Squad is, lets get back to what the future holds for Squad at BigD!

How Can You Be Part of The Team?

We have many roles at BigD that you can apply for in order to help run and maintain the server. You could sign up to be a seeder, all you need to do is head over to the BigD discord here; https://discord.gg/bigd and head to the #react-for-role channel and click the Squad Seed Role. This will then ping you when we call for our seeders to help and to get the server popped.
You could be an admin and help maintain the servers high quality gameplay and help to shape the future of what Squad in BigD looks like. You can do this by heading to the BigD website here; www.bigd.com.au and submit a Squad Admin Application.
To help support the server and get yourself reserved slot access, you can always take out a BigD+ reoccurring donation. Donations to BigD allow us to fund the servers and services provided to our gaming community. Read about our donations on the subscription page here: https://www.bigd.com.au/subscriptions/
Server rules can be found here:  https://www.bigd.com.au/squad/

Well we think that is enough for now and we are so excited and positive for the what the future holds.

See you on the battlefield

Hell Let Loose Q1 2023 Recap

Hello everyone,
As we've now come to the end of the first quarter of 2023, let us reflect on what has happened in BigD Hell Let Loose so far this year, and what we still have to look forward to.
Most excitingly, BigD Events team member WeatheredxGumby has recently become a first-time Dad!!!!  We all wish him and his family our heartiest congratulations, and sincere hope that he’s getting enough sleep!

The new website is now up and running, and you can find the Hell Let Loose portal at https://www.bigd.com.au/hell-let-loose/.   If you love BigD and wish to support us, you can view the subscription options at https://www.bigd.com.au/subscriptions/.   Subscribers are eligible for server whitelisting, allowing them to skip the queue when the server is nearly full.  All donations go 100% toward server operating costs.
Server seeding remains a big focus as always, and we would very much welcome anyone who has time during the day to help with seeding the BigD servers.  As our way of saying thanks, players who spend a minimum of 1 hour a week seeding will be eligible for a coupon for 15 days of free whitelisting.  To join the HLL Seed Team, please contact a Senior Admin or express your interest in the #hll-seeding channel on the BigD discord.

Game updates
As everyone no doubt knows, Hell Let Loose is now in the hands of a new developer, Team17.  They have already released Update 13.5, aimed at fixing many of bugs from Update 13 or earlier.  Don’t forget, if you’re experiencing any bugs in the game, to submit feedback via the official Hell Let Loose Discord (https://discord.gg/hellletloose).  Along with this update has come a new roadmap for 2023, which you can view here, and the latest developer brief here.

BigD HLL Server updates
The BigD HLL Senior Admin team has been busy so far this year, reviewing the server rules and experimenting with new features to improve the player experience.
Some key changes:
The server seeding threshold has been increased from 15 v 15 to 20 v 20, to give players a better experience when a match comes off seeding. “No Locked Solo Armour Squads” has been updated to “No Locked Solo Heavy Tanks”, which gives players and Commanders a bit more flexibility in the deployment of armour. After a successful trial, map voting has now been enabled on both BigD HLL servers.  At the end of each round, players are given the option of 3 warfare and 2 offensive maps, which they can vote for in the text chat by typing !votemap then the number of the desired map.

BigD HLL Staff updates
There have been quite a few staff changes in BigD HLL this year.  Sadly, we have had some staff members step down from their roles due to a lack of time or to pursue other things, and we thank them for the effort they’ve put in and wish them the best.  We also have some new faces in various roles, both from promotions and new appointments.
Firstly, we congratulate Foyboys member Stanna on his promotion from HLL Senior Admin to BigD Community Manager.   Stanna has long been a driving force behind BigD HLL and devotes an insane amount of time and effort to making BigD awesome.
Next, Rabid (from Emu War Veterans) and Shircle (from OC), both well-known members of the BigD community, have joined -T A T T O O- as BigD HLL Senior Admins.  This new Senior Admin team has hit the ground running, working hard in the background to make HLL on BigD better.

And last, but not least, we have welcomed several new faces to the HLL Admin team, namely Adjalon and Th3Guy23 from OC, and TomKat121111 from EWV.  We thank them for putting their hands up to help keep BigD servers a safe and enjoyable place to play HLL.  Anyone else who feels that they have the necessary skills and experience, and would like to help, can submit an admin application here.

BigD Events
We’re pleased to announce that the BigD HLL State of Origin will be happening again soon!  Last year, the Blues team took victory.   Will they be able to do it again in 2023 or will the Maroons come out on top?   Please visit the #hll-event-info channel on the BigD discord and sign up here!

To wrap up, we want to thank everyone for choosing BigD as your home for Hell Let Loose.  If you have any ideas, suggestions, or feedback on what we’re doing well or what we can improve on, please let us know via our discord, https://discord.gg/bigd. We look forward to the rest of 2023 and wish all of our members and players health and happiness.

NEW BigD Website, your Whitelisting & Donations

BigD Gaming in the past few days has successfully undertaken a change of core software that powers our website, along with changing to our short url, BigD.com.au

Your website account has been imported across, which is good news as it means you can login with the same username/email & password as before.

Unfortunately if you had Server Queue Skip (whitelisting) setup as an affiliated clan member or a donator, your steam and discord profiles did not import across due to the nature of how they are saved via the API.

To continue receiving any benefits such as Server Queue Skip & discord roles/permissions, you will need to visit your website account settings and associate your Steam and Discord profiles before 4th February 2023.
You can access your Website Account Settings here: https://www.bigd.com.au/settings/

If you have a current reoccurring donation setup before 24th January 2023, due to the change of donation system, you will need to cancel your current payment via your PayPal account and then setup a new subscription on the new website here: https://www.bigd.com.au/subscriptions/

If you have any concerns with this process, please reach out by opening a support request here: https://www.bigd.com.au/support/create/

Thankyou for your ongoing support of BigD Gaming and we look forward to a big 2023.

Cheers,
