BigD Monthly News Bulletin - September Edition - Community

Hello and Welcome

This is your September edition of the BigD Gaming Monthly News Bulletin, where we're bringing you the latest updates from within the BigD Gaming Community, what you may have missed and what's to come for the month ahead.

Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials

In August we saw a BigD Arma 3 Operation run by CannonFodder, called Operation Mad God. For those who are not familiar with what this mod is based off, it is loosely inspired from the movie "Mad God". A nightmare underworld of tortured souls, ruined cities and wretched monstrosities!

If you missed this event you can read an incredible mission debriefing on the entire event, it covers it in such detail you will feel like you played in the very event yourself! You can find the link to the debrief here: https://www.bigd.com.au/knowledge/arma/aar_mad_god_the_cycle/

This event was a fast signing up event that only had limited spaces, if you wish to get involved in any future Arma 3 Operations then make sure to keep an eye on the Arma news section of the BigD discord.

But now with the last month of winter behind us the hibernation of sitting in our warm gaming rooms from our over priced GPU's is over! We did see two massive topics that we know everyone is excited for and we must ask some crucial questions.....

Did you pre-order Battlefield 6?

And are you ready for Hell Let Loose Vietnam?

Both of these announcements coming in August it has given us gamers something to look forward to. So strap in, set aside some money, clear some space on your drives and get ready.
If you want to get amongst the chat for Hell Let Loose Vietnam and BF6 then head over to the discord in these chat spaces.

Message From Our Community Managers & Senior Admins

August has been an exciting month for the Community Managers, Seniors Admins and a few select individuals within the team. We have been working hard behind the scenes to start to bring you some major quality of life changes, upgrades and new editions to the website and for the games we host.

Whilst we wont yet reveal all the upcoming changes and new editions, we thought we would show you just a taste of what is to come.

Under the Squad section of the website you will now see a big red button (who doesn't love a big red button) that says "click to join Squad Server 1".
Our community managers and admin team have been hard at work making joining BigD servers just that little bit easier. With the known issues that EOS has brought us and the recent issues with the Squad server browser being spoofed/hacked, we thought it was a nice quality of life upgrade with servers 2 and 3 buttons soon to follow.

As we said previously, this simple red button is just a taste of what is to come, so keep an eye on the website and on the discord for future announcements on website and game upgrades. You will see announcements typically in these following channels:

But that is all for this month, thank you for stopping by and continuing to support the BigD community!
