Website Software Upgrade

The base software used for our website has had a major update come through, resulting in some third party addons currently in use, becoming unusable once we migrate across.
We have been testing the new software and conducted several trial runs of migrating our website data with the aim to minimise the impacts & understand where processes will need to change.

When is Migration Happening?

Over the next week, we will be undertaking the upgrade to the new website software, pending the impacts of Cyclone Alfred.

The public website will be put in upgrade mode, with only content pages viewable.

There will be no access to user profiles, external profile linking, support tickets, admin/affiliated clubs, subscriptions management.

If you need assistance for the above unavailable functions during migration, please submit a Community Management Discord Ticket.


Impacts of Migration to New Software

External Profile Linking

• All users will need to relink their external profiles, such as Discord, Steam, & HLL ID (only if Epic/Windows Store)
• The relinking is required for all users to continue receiving access/roles/permissions such as:
  • server queue skip (whitelisting)
  • Admin permissions in-game,
  • Discord roles, both public & admin discords

Role Syncing - Clubs to Groups

• initially the sync feature is not available but is in the works to come soon
• Senior Admins & Affiliate Leaders will be working with the Community Managers to ensure our admins & affiliated members continue to receive Discord & Game Server roles/permissions/perks

Website Styling 

• Styling of the website will be basic to begin with as we cannot take our customised styling elements with us to the new upgrade. 
• lipstick & glitter will be added after migration...

Website Support Tickets

• Temporary Support Ticket solution while the full module is fleshed out (used for commerce, ban appeal & general community management tickets)
  
   

Are My Subscription/s Impacted?

No, if you have a current PayPal subscription setup, this should migrate across & continue as normal.

You should relink your external profiles to maintain any donator perks such as Server Queue Skip.

Post Migration

An additional news article will go up detailing how to relink your external profiles.

Affiliated Leaders & Senior Admins will be provided information how to sync their members from Clubs to Groups.
