Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials We don't know about you but for us August went by in the blink of an eye. With both Bellum and Wardogs playtest almost every weekend, we had dozens of people in the discord gaming all weekend long, locked into their gaming chairs and with sleep only for the weak. We did not run any events in July for Squad or Hell let loose, but as per usual we had our weekly BigD Ops nights and have seen them grow each week, with regular and new faces showing up to have a great night of laughs and meeting new people. So if you wish to come along to any of our Ops night or general event nights make sure you head over to the BigD discord and check out the events tab for all the events to browse from almost every game we host. Upcoming News, Events/Scrims September is shaping up to be our biggest month of the whole year so far as we will see Wardogs releasing tomorrow! Wardogs is a tactical all out warefare fps where one hundred players split across three teams fight over the control zone. Set in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe on a destructible battlefield where teamwork pays and cash is king. If you wish to wish list it or purchase it then you can head to the steam store page or to this link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1867240/WARDOGS/ BigD will be hosting 5 servers from day one and with a wide variety of different modes to play on, so get around the community and log into BigD Gaming Wardogs servers. If you are missed the sign ups then we feel sorry for you because the OC Hell Let Loose scrim night is back and will be underway on Saturday the 12th of September. These scrim nights are the biggest Hell Let Loose events within the BigD community and have signups fill weeks before the event even begins! So don't miss your chance to be part of the action and keep an eye out of when OC announces them by heading to their discord and watching for any events pings. The Squad events team will be planning on running another Community Fight Night on Saturday the 26th of September. For those not familiar with the Community Fight Night events, they are events run on one of our 3 servers with specific maps/layers themed into 3 rounds that are open to the public with admins and affiliated clans all jumping in for coordinated gameplay centered around communication and tactics. Signs ups will be available in the events section of the BigD discord in the coming weeks. To really ramp up the excitement and for all the Bellum lovers that may be reading, BigD will be officially hosting Bellum servers on Launch day! With more and more playtests also being announced, BigD has been putting on event nights for everyone who has the game to come and play as a unit, get to know what it is all about and to learn the in's and outs. Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials Looking back at June we had one major social game take place, with HTA and TVG going head to head in Squad in an action packed event that saw both hilarious gameplay and friendly insults. We unfortunately were unable to get a recording of the gameplay for you due to our media team all being unavailable, but for future scrims we hope to get highlight reels out to you all. If you want to get involved in scrim with other clans but are not yet a part of one, make sure to head over to the Affiliated tab on the website and see who you may like to apply for. Turning our attention to the largest clan in the BigD Hell Let Loose community "Only Clans" or OC for short. The leaders over at OC wanted to share a recent scrim they had with a group outside of the BigD Community called "Caveirias". Much like the well known OC scrims that fill servers to the brim here in BigD, the OC vs Caveiras scrim saw a 36v36 battle take place with all out tactical carnage taking place with OC taking out the win. BigD Gaming will be hosting WARDOGS servers! Although WARDOGS does not yet have an official release date, they have stated it will be in winter of this year, so make sure you keep eyes out for when that is announced. The wait is finally over for your Squad events as we return with the Squad Community Fight Night on Saturday 25th of July with the theme of this event being all about Invasion. The Squad events team have hand picked 3 layers and its factions to offer you an experience as close to being balanced as what they can offer. So if you want to play an open to public event that focuses on several hours of strong communication, coordination and tactical gameplay, whilst helpign teach others, then come along for the night. Monthly Wrap Up - Discord, Games and Socials Well Winter has finally come which means we can finally use our PC's for their actual purpose and that is to be a mini heater for our gaming rooms! The month of June was a quiet one for events, with no Squad or Hell Let Loose events running, but future events being planned so make sure to keep eye out on the usual places, such as BigD discord and all our affiliates discords for the clan events they run most months. On the topic of clan events we saw TVG clan run their "Mordhau Madness" event and was an amazing night of laughs and games with the clan and guests. Upcoming News, Events/Scrims Winter is the time of the gamers and things are really starting to heat up, just not outside. Squad events will be making their return this month and will run every 6 weeks, the Squad Events team wants to make sure these events are running close enough and far enough apart to keep everyone excited. These events will be the same theme as how we have run the Fogless Fight Nights, the events you all know and love. Here we go everyone! It is finally here after all this waiting, Hell Let Loose Vietnam is about to drop on 13th of August and we are all excited and ready to take to the battlefield with our M16's and Napalm. BigD will be hosting servers day one, ensuring that there is high quality, well admined servers for all of Oceanic to play and have an amazing time, while gaining a small amount of PTSD. It is only right for us to reward and recognise those admins who go above and beyond for the benefit of everyone. For August 2025, the Community Manager team in consultation with our Senior Leaders wish to shoutout: @k3ithos Keith's nomination by the SQUAD Senior Admins Keith has quickly established himself as one of our most reliable and effective Squad Admins. Whilst he doesn’t seed as often as others, he more than makes up for it through his outstanding late-night coverage. He regularly stays active in-game and on Discord into the early hours of the morning, ensuring the server is cared for when our admin coverage is otherwise very limited. His positive attitude makes him approachable both for players-in-need and fellow admins. Keith consistently handles difficult situations with calmness and good judgment, leaving no room for unnecessary escalation. He has not had any negative player interactions and contributes to a welcoming environment that reflects well on the community. Keith is also proactive in teamwork. He shares information with fellow admins to improve response times and player experience, and he is highly receptive to calls for help or Discord pings. His initiative has had a direct, measurable impact - notably, he implemented a quick-fix for the Squad server browser issue that made BigD servers far easier to connect to compared with others in OCE. This improvement benefited both admins and the player base. As a relatively new admin, Keith has already distinguished himself as one of the best in the team and is personally one of the easiest and most enjoyable admins to work alongside. His reliability, initiative, and overall presence make him an ideal candidate for recognition this month. Thank you Keith for demonstrating true BigD values and supporting our community.
