  11. Well I cannot believe I am actually in this thread let alone responding! So firstly I would like to say an extremely and belated Hello!!! It is great to see you all again! Well believe it or not (I certainly don't) my account is now almost 6 years old. 6 years I have been coming to these forums, for 3 of these years I spent more time scrolling through the vastness of the forums replying to every comment that sparked my interest than I spent doing anything else. I have seen many people come and go, some of the people who were here when I first joined are still here and their presence has never waned. Many many great people were met through this wonderful online community and I was sad when I had to give it away. I realised this about half way through typing this wall of text but I am typing this on the Laptop I first played PR on and the Laptop that I originally signed up to BigD on. I am doing this as I am currently travelling and my desktop which members of this community helped build was not something I could pack in my bags. ALSO I JUST SAW, THE BANNER I MADE IS STILL IN THE ROTATION!!!! BigD to me was an online home, I could get on any time of the day from anywhere in the world and I knew I would have some people to talk to, about serious matters or something fun. But it went further than this, I was a member of [WC] for ~2 of those years and through that met a lot of great people with whom I formed some great relationships (I also formed many outside of the clan). This was all without the addition of PR. Throw that into the mix and you had a recipe for fun and shenanigans. To me BigD was more than just a game server I played on. I think many of the members on this page would agree with me when I say that never have a I been a part of an online community in which I felt so welcomed and comfortable to be around people I don't know outside of the virtual world. For me personally I became tired of PR after 3 years and I was hopeful that I would have my interest rekindled when the Standalone was released. However, here I am still waiting. Don't get me wrong I understand the time and effort everyone is putting into the game but I also feel the length of time when I left and when the standalone is finally released will have claimed more and more players than it will be able to recover from. This leads into to my suggestion for the direction BigD should move, judging by the statistics and comments the interest in PR has taken a slow but steady dive in the past 2 years. I don't think this is about to change any time soon. Old games such as BF2 wont attract new players let alone players who will be looking for mods such as PR. Does this mean that BigD should cut their loses and call it a day, say thanks for all the fish and go our separate ways? My selfish answer is no, this site means quite a lot to me and I'm sure to a lot of you. Maybe BF2: PR is on the decline but there is still an enormous community for online gaming and PC gaming isn't about to go anywhere. So finally my suggestion. If you want to maintain a community of like minded people who enjoy video games and playing together while also being able to discuss any number of topics in an excellent environment maybe it is time to start looking into moving to new games. Enforce the ideals of the community onto the servers you run, attract the same kinds of people. Sure it wont be PR but that hasn't stopped people before. I remember playing a huge assortment of games with everyone. From various BF2 mods through to completely different genres of game, this place has never been for me a place where I went to play PR. It was a place I went to enjoy myself and play video games. Don't change that, not just for me but for every member. I cant say I know the solution to the problem but I can say that unless something significant changes the community will slowly and slowly continue to die. That would be a real shame and a real blow to the effort and commitment but in over the years by everyone involved. With the coming release of ArmA3, DayZ, BF4, Rainbow 6 and I'm sure many more surprises along the way there will be no shortage of players who will be potential members for the community. So with that massive post I will leave you with a final message. To me this was not just an online community filled with people. It was a home filled with friends and the occasional ass hole. Life came down on me hard, the time that in my younger years I would spend gaming became enveloped in responsibility and trying to give myself the best opportunities I could. I had to make the choice to leave this place and people who had become part of my daily routine. It wasn't easy and I was sad to go. So Thank you to everyone who I had the pleasure of meeting and gaming with over the past 6 years. There were so many names and voices that I can still remember. If I see any of your Tags in game Ill be sure to give you a yell! Words cannot express the amount of joy that came from this place and the memories that I have. Keep this community alive in the hopes that you all can enjoy what I did and that one day I might return!
  12. Just had mine removed over summer! Having had braces as a younger lad my Orthodontist (yeah still seeing him after all these years on) suggested that because of the bottom wisdom teeth that I undergo General aesthetic. So I did, cost around $2000 (Hospital, Surgeon, Aesthetic, consultation before and after, x-rays), of which I got a fair bit back due to health insurance ect. If I had dental most of it would have been covered. My teeth were quite easy to remove, only having 3 total was a blessing. The most difficult teeth are those on the bottom. Seeing as your teeth are starting to cut and are becoming infected means that you need to get them out. X-rays will tell how close they are to the nerve and bone but seeing as they are coming out I would think you are in the clear. If your surgeon is happy to pull them out under local I would 100% go that option. Much faster recovery time and much less cost and hassle. See a surgeon and see what they have to say, mine said he would have pulled mine out in the chair behind him during the consultation if I hadn't had the lower one where it was. Good luck!

  19. As a Duke 3D veteran this has been so long awaited by me... Pre-ordered the balls of steel edition Its everything I have ever wanted and more, that 'WTF? is' review is kind of accurate. There are a few little things about the game that I thought could be better but its really quite a satisfying game to play. I had a good laugh at the over the top and almost movie like intro's they played. Ill hold out my opinion until I play the full game but so far I'm loving it DUKE IS BACK BABY!
  20. yeah was just going out to buy it.... oh wait ;_;
