Teams: [WC] members will be evenly distributed amongst the two teams and will not be making clan squads.

 

Interesting when one says something and then does the complete opposite.

 

Also interesting how you have decided to allow all [WC] members regardless of join date.

 

However I'm not here to nick pick and I think at this stage I cannot attend due to work. Good luck with the night also if you need the password to be handed out securely I suggest using the PM feature I have done it before and it does work. Its a little annoying but for the occasional one of event its not impossible.

Because it's a clan event and most of the clan wouldn't be able to turn up had we applied the join restriction?

this is technically a clan organised event, not a community event, if it were a free for all then its fine, but having WC on one side makes the commuity event disapear.

 

sorry guys, but thats how it is.

 

You need permission to use those maps, cant just go deciding to use them.

its still being biased towards the community, excluding alot of people simply becuase they showed up later and then our clan is the lucky one that gets to have any member who showed up only a few weeks ago gets to play.

 

thats not how the maps were intented, they were intented for ALL.

 

I dont have a problem with the night itself, only the maps cant be used.

Sorry that the name is misleading, it was originally intend as a WC vs veterans night but as I was writing up the first thread I had the exact same thought at Noddy. It wouldn't be fair on either team and its not intended as a WC training night.

i thought it was intended so the older guys could show us young WCers a thing or two, if someone wants to play with the veterans then they can spend hours like shotgun has organizing a night of their own

as well as that It was going to be a night to introduce the younger members of WC to the people that started it all and to give the older members a chance to reunite.

If its the 26th ill be there....and ill Kill It...cause I AM "KLLRKIRK" and yes, i talk about myself in the 3rd person:) hahahaha

we are looking into the possibility of using the retro maps for this event, but dont hold your breath.

 

Just on a side note, the retro maps may be hosted over a weekend again like last time though with the correct downloads released prior.

What if WC members past 2007 are dropped? Is it a community event then?

nothing has changed, Gunners posts didnt correctly show what he meant. Its been sorted and atm retro maps are a maybe due to some politics

Well im sorry to bring you this bad news on this night of PRlessnessness but with the release of .87 we will not be able to play the retro maps on the night

 

 

any requests for maps, I need 2 maps that people would like to play, remembering that numbers will not be 32 each side a smaller map would be preferred

Basrah still has a bugged spawn for the insurgents on skirmish mode AFAIK (they spawn in a hole and can't get out).
