What ever happened to keeping political debates out of bigD? You just never learn do you? If people have an opinion on this, there are other places to discuss it, not a gaming forum.

No political or religious discussions - these threads/posts will be locked and deleted on sight. Both subjects are far too sensitive to be entered into here. There are plenty of other forums out there dedicated to these sorts of discussions.

depends on the subject you will find, if its going to cause serious conflict you will find it being stopped. Never the less its not nice to hear of death of anyone in the Middle East be they Australian, American, British or Middle eastern.

Shotgun, I agree with your observations. It's generally difficult to express disagreement with any majority.

 

Also, not being a smartarse, but just pointing out that Afghanistan is in Central Asia. Different culture, different language, and different history to the Middle East.

 

Lets hope that this incident doesn't lead to further violence.

Well you learn something every day. I always assumed Afghanistan was a middle eastern state. Goes to show you that the little quirk you might have heard "Assumptions make asses out of us all" is really quite true.

As a imminent Enlister. people ask me will i want to engage hostiles to re iterate the wars actual purpose. i tell em, serving for your country is the last patriotic thing an aussie can do now therefore. if it's a wrong or right decsion, this is only broken down by mediated opininions.

 

i for one am no politician, if anyone raises a rifle in my direction, im taking em down! at the end of the day, yes it may be someone else war but.... the terrorist side of things dont mind blowing up our "aussie hangouts" (bali)

I was wondering the same thing...

It's not a matter of me being offended, trust me. I have a very open minded political view and I quite frankly love discussing this sort of stuff. However, these threads always get out of hand, always.

 

For the record, I was not offended. I was simply re-posting the rules that seem to be ignored when it comes to these sorts of threads.

was shot by a british co-worker who by his own admission was drunk. He says that he got into a fight with two other colleges, they got him to the ground and were giving him a good ol' bashing so he pulled his gun and shot em. the bloke seems like a bit of a wacko with some of the stuff he was posting on his online pages...

That has nothing to do with it, hes quite right that every thread to do with politics or religion gets way out of hand quickly, hence why we have a Zero Tolerance policy at BigD.

guys ! Chief Ryza was trying to make a great point, if he didnt emphazise it they way he did maybe it wouldnt have come across as clear as it did.

 

He has a great point and maybe we need a few more people around here policing the rules....
