Firebase blow up?

Hey guys, does anyone know why do Firebases blow up when we building it???

I really don't get it cause it kills people. It killed me cause I bleed to death... Any idea why? If so how to know when it will stop or how to prevent it from happening? :blowup:

if you build it to close to a repair station it glitches and builds then blows up, just dive on it and build it then get a medic to heal you once its stopped collapsing

Make sure that no repair crates are dropped from the logistic trucks, that's what causes them in most cases.

Also helps allot if you have more than 1 or 2 players using there shovels at the same time to build them.

Well... I was trying to rebuild it by myself since the ennemy crashed it out... So yeah, so I guess building it with one person never work?

Yeah if you try to build the one the enemy destroyed with only 1 person, u need a medic there because it will blow up once or twice while building. If you have 2x people building it shouldn't blow up at all but might do it once.

What happens AFAIK is that a FB that is not fully built will decay over time (lose health points) if it decays enough it will collapse and eventually disappear altogether.

So when you are building it up it is also decaying at the same time. For example say the FB collapses at 5 points of health. With only one person building you are only building a tiny fraction faster than the FB is decaying, so when you get up to 5 points the FB will appear but then because of the decay it instantly goes back to 4 points and collapses again. Then back to 5 then to 4 etc causing it to collapse over and over. As you are building slightly faster than the rate of decay you will eventually get past the 5 point mark and it won't collapse anymore though it will still take ages to build.

With more people building (2 or more) you are building much faster than the rate of decay so you don't have the same problem.
