Posted July 29, 200915 yr http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/3695/babymodel1.jpg The PhD project of Jorge Lopes, a Brazilian design student at London’s Royal College of Art, offers the potential to allow expecting parents to “hold” their unborn children. Lopes’ technique converts ultrasound and MRI scans into physical models using a 3D printer. Rapid prototyping technology is typically used for creating design models. Dr. Lopes explains reactions from expecting parents: It’s amazing to see the faces of the mothers. They can see the full scale of their baby, really understand the size of it. Beyond the mere interest value, however, there is some utility to the technology. Hilary French, head of the School of Architecture and Design Products explains: The technology can be also be used as an emotional tool for parents whose fetus might be deformed or need treatment. http://weinterrupt.com/2009/06/modeling-technology-allows-parents-to-hold-unborn-children/ http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png

July 31, 200915 yr I've got the 3D ones for both my kids, as well as video. I admit, it's freaky. Apparently there is another 4D one. A guy I work with is getting it done, but as I said, what fourth dimension are they going to image? 2 weeks I will be able to see the results...perhaps we will be able to see through to their souls. http://imgur.com/e5y6e.gif You've already ruined these forums for me, I have no desire to read your rhetoric or the pathetic arguments you get yourself in to, or the personal vendetta you have against me, so please, do not talk to me. Ever. About anything.
