Just saw the latest of the new batman movies, I have to suggest that you pick up the DVD of batman begins if you havent seen it, then haul your ass down to the cinema and see The Dark Knight.

 

One of the best movies I have seen this year, action is great, heath ledger acts the best villain I have ever seen as the joker. Plenty of twists and a great plot. Long movie though, about 2 1/2 hours.

 

5 stars from me though.

Sweet. Gonna go watch it tomorrow. Got the Gotham Knight DVD coming into work soon aswell.

Yeah normally I'd say go for it, but this is one of those few movie series that are worth supporting with your dollar, not to mention getting the full experience at the cinema.

The question is: Is it better than Batman Begins?

 

That was easily the best Batman movie to date, IMO.

 

I think the appeal with Batman is that he can be killed - the reason the Hulk movies will never work.

I don't think I need to really tell any of you that BigD does not under any circumstance endorse the obtaining copy right material illegally so any further mention of it will also be deleted. Stay on topic which is how GREAT this movie is I saw it yesterday as well it was amazing one suggestion go to the toilet before go its quite long.

I might go see this one twice like I did the first one. The last time I did that was when Top Gun came out.

 

I saw the second one last night and it was amazing. It's going to be hard to find a new Joker who has the balls to follow that performance but of course they will have to as it's the main bad guy. He was perfect in every way.

I got told we were getting it 3 days before the US which isn't a bad thing far as I'm concerned.

According to the herald sun we are getting it 2 days ahead of most countries including Europe and the US.

 

Also according to that article cinema staff are supposed to be issued NVGs to watch the cinema patrons so they can't film the movie while they are watching and make pirate copies.

 

I'm going to see it tomorrow so I'll be on the lookout for those sam fisher looking ushers.

Yeah they had security and cops when I saw it although I wasn't looking for the NVGs last night I have seen them in use before.

I saw it out in Sunshine, no security there but why risk getting stabbed over a movie hey?

That's going pretty overboard IMO. Who gives a crap if someone cams a really dodgy recording of the movie - if anyone is so tight and loosely pleased that they're satisfied with a shaky photostat of the image with crappy sound, I don't think anyone's losing any real income from such individuals.

 

They'd be better off putting the money into staffing the bloody snack bar (at least at Garden City) or making it bigger so that more than 8 people (out of a few hundred) can be in there at once.

lol seg rage it up. Piracy is illegal and it should be dealt with as seen necessary. Personally i hate the idea of people watching me in the movies with NVG, but then again it would be a sweet job

Two thumbs up from me - great movie.

 

I much prefer these gritter flicks than the farcical Spiderman or earlier (later) batmans. Gimmee Serenity over Phantom Menace any day!

 

I wonder about parents taking their 10-year old Batman fan kid along to this one... esp. if they haven't seen Batman Begins...its not at all a kids movie.

No kidding Wok, I had a little girl **** scared in the theatre and started to cry.

 

Parents need to give their head a shake sometimes.

Bloody oath, not exactly a kids flick. I reckon the Joker would scare the sh!t outa me if i was 6 years old.

 

What a bloody good movie but aye. When they introduced twoface to the story i thought "here we go, any second now the 'to be continued' words would start flowing across the screen"...But no, there was still another hour left.

Should we re-name the thread to we don't spoil it for others and we can talk about it freely?

 

Put like a spoiler warning in the title?
