Can i suggest maybe some practice for squads when it comes to chopper support and etiquite... last night (and im still p'd off about this), i got a request off a squad and the commander to assist a squad. no worries i finished what i was doing and then flew back to assist. i get there and hover just on the ridge line while the gunner scouts for anything to hit - nothing there. all of a sudden from the flag comes a barrage of small arms fire, so i tell the squad to get clear of the flag (i'm not the fastest of typists so this was difficult for me at low altitude), mind you i still am getting requests off the commander they still need air support. i bug out and realign with the flag and get the gunner ready, we do a quick swoop over the outpost and i see several soldiers with muzzle flash and tracers hitting my heli so i open up with about 28 of my hydras. as i make my sweep over the infantry i see the 5 tk's come up, and im still copping small arms fire, the gunner spots the last remaining and i hit him with whats left of the hydras - GUESS WHAT he was friendly to... the best part is i got punished an did not get a single kill for the sweep, this is bs. As far as im concerned if u ask for air support continue to give the pilot intel on the surronds or dont ask and as for shooting at the heli, thats just intelligent now isnt it. i assisted another squad that had an infantry problem, turned out to be aa.

 

//Edit// and before you say it, yes i did check my minimap but being as clear as it is, makes spotting infantry a little difficult at 460kph/mph whatever the hud works off.

What map and what time last night? I have a feeling I was in that squad where you got the 5 TKs, I was one of them.

Yep, that was the squad I was in.

 

I'm not entirely sure why you were called in for support, there was no enemy around at all as they were capping out our main at the time.

 

All that small arms fire you were receiving were from friendlies, the ones that were TK'd.

 

Funnily enough, I had said to them to cease it because if the chopper opens up on us were all gonners. And no sooner had I said it we were all dead.

 

Any punishes you recieved I can assure you were accidental, because everyone erupted into laughter. The round was esentially over and they were mucking around so deserved to be cleaned up.

 

I called you a certain word that's apparently far more powerful than any tank or attack chopper, that if used can result in wiping you out for a week.

 

So don't feel too bad about it, you got 5 TKs and I got a weeks holiday

You really can't use that word in Canada. I only had one friend who ever used it and we actually used to hit him when he said it.

i usee it all the time , must be a kiwi thing although we are a foul mouthed bunch down here .

what's made it such a terrible word to use anyway? in perth people say it all the time just loosely, like not insultingly just on par with like you douche, tool, idiot, retard etc.

 

EDIT: actually to quote some guy's comment from youtube, here's how its used most often:

"Hahaha... Thats actually quite funny, because here in Australia, it is used as a praise more than a derogatory statement. For eg. Where I come from you do not use it ever the F-bomb and S-word gets dropped but that seems so main stream these days it doesnt matter. But you don't use that word I must have just being raised different.

Call me old fashioned but I hate the word intensely and am offended when people arround me use it.

There are words that are deamed derogatory and serve no other purpose other than to abuse another player. This particular word falls into that catagory.

 

Deliberately swearing on the forums and having it hidden by **** is also poor form, it servers no purpose other than to show the admins that you are bored and want to annoy people.

 

Please post constructive comments or posts about things you enjoy doing in PR not complaining about what words you can and cant use.

These forums and servers are open to the public and as such SWEARING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

that also goes for getting around the swear filter.
