"Phoenix may have been bad, but Hamayong is 100x worse"

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

yar...was just on it...server 3...US..."we can't win this".....chinese.."lol,we know...but we are on the right side so we love it...".

Not A map I like.....But we used to have some massive shootouts on it...US coming into mec Bunker....Mec lined up on the walls fighting them off.........the map just has no spawn for the US,even if they get Radio or south...Its just too hard too get 3 squad members in the same spot to set a rally.....and not many good places to set them.

Badly unbalanced..imo..

i could win that map in .6 as you got arty and you as SL just netrulisd one flag then moved to the next sneaking around
idiots are hardcoded

What? Hills was a classic, the US/GB team only lost when the players couldn't get their **** together, infact, I remember numerous accounts when chinese had the hardest time ever trying to repel USMC/GB. It's meant to be an unbalanced map, but as soon as the US/GB get the flank, its piss easy pushing chinese back.

Phoenix on the other hand, wasn't unbalanced, it just simply was a crap map.

Next thing I know someone is gonna tell me EJOD desert is ****.

yeaaa booooy.

Hills WAS a classic....in 0.6,but even back then people didn't rate it in the top 5..........

Now its 0.7,the changes in gameplay make it a VERY hard map for the US to win.....

Not impossible but its still a very frustrating map for at least 1/2 of the people playing it...

I find it a good map when its 10v10... When it's 20v20 as it normally is, forget it. I am all for removing it. It has outlived it's purpose being in PR.

Hills was never a good map just like its its fore runner Jungle Fever it has out lived its day and is now a seriously showing its age it needs to be remade or removed. Phoenix on the other hand was a very good map IMO and I had a great many very good battles on it where entire teams would be forced back to there mains just to launch a blitzing counter attack and win the day.

More infantry maps with urban environments are needed in my opinion where the better informed team wins the day, not just the lucking bastards holding the high ground your highly trained soldier can't walk up cause its apparently coated in TEFLON not grass.

Hamyong is a tough map very one sided I agree have seen the US/GB win numerous time been on the end of some nasty nade spamming *definitely a map that take a squad with strong will to break through. Easier with less people true.. It's probably the next map to go with the next update and that other classic map coming back what was its name? Mao valley was better than Hills

QFT: Your computer is smart man. It tells you not to play the second worst PR map [burning Sands] (first is Wanda Shan).

QFT: if you dont get pissed off when you lose you dont care enough

Yar give it the boot, it's serving no purpose but to empty the servers and interrupt gaming sessions when everyone leaves.

In .5 it was well winnable fo GB since you had SL and easy to place rallies, in .6 it was a bit harder but now .7 you might as well just quit.

Now it doesn't matter if you somehow take on of the flanks because you're always going to spawn at main base since it's impossible to place a rally with out dying or having it destroyed straight away.

Now whatever happened to....Mao Valley was it? That could be a cool map, especially if my suggestion for reworked claymores gets in the next hotfix. Ambushing rushers >:D

yeaaa booooy.

i dont really mind the map at all but wouldnt be sad to see it go . i agree with vis one we need more urban maps , maybe a fallujah or baghdad .

i say that hills the map be remade because in idea it was a good map but lack of cover for US to sneak up and it should be a thin line break though map not a nad spam in to the only cover
idiots are hardcoded

with the amount of grenade spam, i thought it was nilla karkand..

i left after a our squad was the only one to grey a flag.

(@AncientMan) why is it that every time see the words solo|work, the bulge in my pants grows bigger and bigger then gets wet?

(@solo|work) !8ball is +SiN+ solo60 the best player in BigD PR? (@ChanServ) solo|work: I think so.

I didnt mind phoenix, got a bit repetitive simply cause it was the first map in the rotation and this was back when the servers crashed

Good Conduct

Phoenix is great, Hills not so much. Played it last night and it was just nade spamming. Phoenix is a fun map.

IMO Hills is good, but only when played 'properly' (ie tactically) by the Brits/US. This is not achieved that often in pub play, so it is often a whitewash. Leave it out I say.

I agree. Hills is quite good, but the US/Brits need to learn that the best way to push the Chinese back at the start is to have EVERYONE attack either radio dugout OR south flank.

The Chinese are usually split up between the points at the start of the match and a strong push to these points almost always works as you can overwhelm them with sheer numbers.

I was also playing last night and our squad neutralized the south flank quite quickly but we couldn't cap it because none of the other squads would back us up, despite us constantly asking for help. If we had another squad or two down there we would have broken through quite easily. Then once you have one flag the whole Chinese defense falls apart quite quickly in my experience.

Summary: At the start have EVERYONE attack either radio dugout OR south flank and crush the enemy with numbers, Omaha style.

Good use of artillery is also a must, you can pretty much knock out entire squads at a time and force them to keep their heads down when attacking flags just by having someone call in arty for the commander. But you need to time it with your squads advances.
Instead it's JDAM's, for both teams... Still, I stick by my word. I like it much much better when it's 10v10 at the most. People are more spread out, less grenades raining down on your head and that sort of thing. Just makes it easier for the US to get up the hill so they can fight on a more even battlefield. ATM I am hoping that it gets changed a fair bit in 0.71, maybe extend the out of bounds areas so the US have much bigger area to move around in, otherwise I don't see it having a good chance of remaining in our server map rotation.

last night 40+people, i was on US, my squad finnaly got 1 flag after a hardcore 30 mins and oh dam there goes the 10 ticket warning siren, wtf happened to the Counter Attack lol never got up to it because the already defended their flags. Im other words, ITS SH*T HOUSE

Am I the only one who remembers that hills was super easy once you had those two first flags? Even at the beginning, if you request a support kit and a light AT you can clear out the bunker campers instantly.
