Used to play this aaaaages ago. Has it gotten any better? The fact that you have to do the courses to get extra weapons etc is pretty cool, but frustrating at the same time.

I beg to differ. The main tactics used by players in this game is that bullcrap side-to-side strafing and jumping <--- sound like something you've played before? Yeah it's called Counter-Strike. Furthermore ask any of the "pro" players for AA, not a single one of them bother to use their sights unless it is an optic.

 

It even goes as far as there have been several cases where real ex/current armed forces members have gone onto the forums and complained that their real life training didn't help them at all ingame, and anyone on the forums there will tell you that. The devs won't change it because their target audience is the recruiting age players and majority of them play CS.

 

If you enjoy the game then yeah sure have a bash, but it is far from realistic.

I played it years ago aloso, New pc 3 months ago and tried to download it last week and play, But I cant be frigged to do the stupid training crap all over again. Waste of my time.

I played it again a while ago and while you can play it realistically you'll always lose if you do. People take too many shots and hip shots are too accurate to make aiming useful so you're better off running around guns blazing.

Its all about the army, You gotta train before you join in life, so sadly they enforce this in the game aslo..

they have bought out a new patch that changes some of the settings around so that it becomes more realalistic, i still think that PR is more realalistic but this game is just fun playing (and i dont crash on it:guitar:)

yes the game is just another way they "the USA army" can try and cut costs, and get more people trained in they ways. OR maybe try to badly train lol who they fight against. you are doing what THEY want if you play that game. PR or nothing

 

and If you can't drop someone at 200 m or less , with a hip shot, you should not be using a rifle.

Effective range of a single M-16 is 300 metres. If you can down someone at 200 with a hipshot you are Rambo and probably don't have to reload either.

sorry you can't call me Rambo :rambo: any more....I lost my Head band Its hand eye coordination. 200 may be stretching it. but back in the day, I did some hell shots from the hip with chinese SKSs and SKKs, roos don't stop.
