Gentlemen of BigD, I find myself at a crossroads.

While here in California, I've been enjoying the wonders of Airsoft guns, I've already got myself a nice little Sidearm in the form of a Glock 18C (Yes, It does have full Auto), but now, I find myself in need of a Primary to go with it.

Since store purchased Airsoft guns are really, only about $200 at tops for a good battery or CO2 powered tool, I find myself lost on the particular model that I want, so shoot me suggestions.

Thusfar, I've set my eyes on A FAMAS (132$), G36C (99$), And MP5/P88 Combo pack (99$) Or a SIG550 (164$), Also possible is a little Styer TMP (99$), But this is America, and the Arsenal stretches to the horizon and back, so I can really get almost anything ever made in airsoft.

So guys, Help me out! There's to much choice!! >.<

"...And so then I says! 'I caught me a kangaroo!'"

For some reason the Yanks love hearing about that one time...

Model means nothing mate its all about the who manufactures them when it comes to Airsoft Rifles.

Just do your home work and pick the one in your list that is made by a reputable manufacturer and has proper internals. No point buying a POS just to upgrade a few weeks/months later.

Pick the one you can bring back to Australia :p

At those prices I guess you can afford to waste the cash ... Aussie dollar is slipping tho :)

Last time i looked NO airsoft could be purchased or brought back into AUS due to the resemblance to real firearms unless you have the appropriate firearms license... Even then im pretty sure you arent aloud to posses most airsoft due to them looking like assault firearms.

After jumping through all the hoops myself i just went for real firearms... Too much money and effort to settle for a plastic toy ;)

"Nein! Not without my helmet!"

depends on what type you want

electric or AEG is the normal

but you can get gas blowbacks

Spring action

there is allot of M4s and M16 out there due to popular but they tends to die

if you want one that lasts get a G36 styled one

but its been a year so stuff could of changed

Spring rifles are great and accurate and long range (long range for airsoft)

Yer just keep in mind you cant bring ANY of it back to Aus... sucks i know. but yer AEG is probaly tyhe way to go. and personaly id go with a bushmaster ACR or a M4a1 with 12.5 DD RIS 2. Either way i hate you so much right now....

The Nomula:

nom = 3(nom) or 3nom :. nom = nomnomnom :. nomnomnom + omnnom^2 - nom = omnnomnomnomomn

Oh' date=' and i shottie having gunners mutant epic PR playing children[/quote']

get AEG then get an LIPO battery (make sure you learn how to use them)

make sure you get something with the latest gen gearbox, this is a must or you will have constant problems with your gun

also DONT OPEN YOUR GEAR BOX...or you will need to find some one to put it back together who knows what they are doing, also find some one who knows what they are doing, best way is through an local club

on another note

an chinese Airsoft company got shut down as some people started making make shift guns out of them for riots...thats the rumour

Make a glove gun.

Then spend the money you saved on some range time while your over there :).

prsigRDEV7.png
Yeah, why not go to the range and fire real weaponry?

because at a range the targets dont move and fire back, also you can walk away with min to very little pain

The chinese airsoft companies are always on egde becuase iirc airsoft is actualy banned in china, yet they make 90% of the stuff to export haha.

I hate to rain on your parade but according to the Airsoft Australia lobby group...

"Airsoft guns are illegal to own, possess or import without appropriate license or permit in each state of Australia under State and Federal law. Each Australian state has slightly different regulations on airsoft replicas.

Currently single shot spring powered airsoft guns commonly referred to as sniper rifles (that do not replicate automatic weapons) and gas powered hand guns (without automatic function) may be (technically) imported into some Australian states, such as Queensland.

To own, possess or import these devices one requires appropriate license/permission from the weapons licensing branch of each state, and to gain such license/permission, one requires a "genuine reason" among other things. Airsoft is not considered a genuine reason because a) there is no such sport and b)no range will permit the use of airsoft guns anyway.

So practically there is no way to own, import, possess or use an airsoft gun in Australia."

I dont see anywhere on this post that the OP suggests bringing back airsoft guns to australia

Lol airsoft. Buy a Nagant revolver - they are 100USD and they fire actual bullets :p

Bit higher up in the price point is the CZ82 which is a sweet little pistol which fires 9x18 makarov. They go for about 250-300USD with a nice holster.

Might want something a bit beefier than the AusLAV - they're a bit vulnerable to mines. :p

try shooting IPSC with semi-auto pistols!!

Thats what i shoot in sydney & it is shot all around australia at most clubs.

we have targets that move & swing however they dont run around like a human!!

its hard enough with the stupid greens & their policies to have a hand gun, however the effort to get it is well worth it!!

by the way did i say she is really hot!!!

check out this video of Jessie Abbate in the USA she kicks arse!!

This has always been my pick...

MP5 with (non functional) Silencer either either folding (if it fits perfect_, or adjustable stock.

Its nice and light, and looks sexy enough. Heavy guns are just too... heavy on the field.

If you dont want realistic heavy gun why buy a realistic looking gun?

there is also allot of plastic fantastic guns out there EG g36 models

my G17 was great until you shot it down wards and the bolt decided to derail and break the front of the cover

what FPS was the beretta doing, as i know some clubs in auckland have guns running 450FPS in CQB and they are poping "pimples" after some times
