Posted August 15, 201113 yr Never before have I been close to someone who has died in a car crash or motor-related-incident. Usually I am the armchair critic who is spiteful and points out the faults in their driving and how dumb or unfortunate the incident is. Until this morning, when I received a call from my mum letting me know that my neighbor and friend of many years had passed away earlier today in hospital after a car crash. Worse still the drivers sister died at the scene of the crash, and his son also died at the scene. An unborn son who was inside my friend in the back seat of the car. My message is this: Drive safe so I don't have to say I have lost two friends in life due to car-crashes etc. A young life cut short. I knew (and still do) the man driving, and I knew her well, and I don't know why he was driving cause he didnt have his dam licence, but there is no need for me to curse him as he will suffer enough in light of this mess. RIP his sister, and cheers for the memories to Jess, may she RIP. http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/national/pregnant-teenager-dies-in-qld-car-crash/story-e6frfku9-1226115353409 http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss187/Chanvlan/new_kit.jpg yeah but this is the internet' date=' you have to expect the unexpected or else you'll get caught out by things you should've expected but didn't. August 15, 201113 yr Sad thing to hear mate. The Bruce needs some serious work but its still no excuse people need to think more about where their actions may lead. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png
August 15, 201113 yr I heard about this accident on the news last night. How sad. The unborn child thing kinda got to me.... I get nervous everytime i go up the Bruce highway. That road has some bad vibes. Sorry for your loss mate..
August 16, 201113 yr RIP sorry to hear that but please take your time on our roads. I dont want to see many more. As a firefighter it is the worst thing to be called to.
August 16, 201113 yr Condolences matey....How many times do we hear the phrase "life's too short".....but it becomes a rather 'weighted' expression when someone near you dies, under such tragic circumstances... Very sorry for your loss ,Chanvlan.
August 16, 201113 yr Author Hey guys, thanks for all the well-wishes, they are very much appreciated, I will pass them on to the family as well when I go home for the funeral next week. Myself, I am doing well, I am indifferent to these things mostly, I can either feel the grief if I let it bother me, or just accept it and move on. However, I feel a little grieving is necessary, so I had a quiet night last night with another mate. Mostly just keeping others who don't handle loss so well keep their head up high right now Once again, many thanks, it really does mean a lot to not only me, but the family as well I'm sure. EDIT: Forgot to say, I couldn't agree more mickey, if there is anything that death does to me is remind me of how fragile life can be, really hammers home the message when its closer to you. http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss187/Chanvlan/new_kit.jpg yeah but this is the internet' date=' you have to expect the unexpected or else you'll get caught out by things you should've expected but didn't. You have an excellent attitude their Chan. I think I feel much the same way you do when someone close to me passes away. Accept it, and move on. :hi: I hope everything goes well for you, the hardest part is the build up to the actual day... I know this from experience now. So chin up mate, and keep doing what you're doing. http://i.imgur.com/DtNdckc.png [WC]Xavo|xXx:
August 18, 201113 yr Author Cheers Xavo :hi: (ps. I'd rep if I could, but I cant give it to you again... you're just too good ) Just an update: So, the family is doing well reading all the messages left for her by friends and loved ones on facey, and as usual the Facebook page dedicated to her has been raped by assholes, but whatever, that's their loss, it's just annoying that everyone needs to respond, however, fair enough the losers will leave eventually. On another, lighter, note, after finishing a bottle of Rum yesterday and in the spirit of the Brisbane Races, I created this: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6209/6055415305_8986f47d5e_b.jpg Hint for reading; Follow the yellow cosmic road. Also, any similarities between this and other poems is mere coincidence, this is my work and I stand by it. If anyone wants to re-post/re-use this, please just ask, I'm sure I'd say yes ^_^ ps. If you can't read that one, I don't know anywhere to upload the HD version, both Photobucket and Flikr re-size photos http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss187/Chanvlan/new_kit.jpg yeah but this is the internet' date=' you have to expect the unexpected or else you'll get caught out by things you should've expected but didn't. August 19, 201113 yr Im sorry to hear that chan, I hope that their friends and family are okay. I know how it feels to lose a mate, only a couple months ago a very close friend of mine had a few drinks and went swimming in a river where he drowned, he was only 16. They say the good die young. http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6793/trentsport.png

Sorry to hear that. I think there was a large improvised memorial and graffiti thing in the Woden bus interchange for him for a while. (?) Yeah there was, we made the graffiti wall in the interchange because after school we all used to hang out there and run a muck. http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6793/trentsport.png
