Becasue BLP didnt start it.

Because BLP is not the only clan that is in the vid and everyone on the big d server is welcome to help

try using a song that hasen't been used over a billion times in video game music videos.

 

its all about the tempo of the music and cutting the raw footage to fit with it, at some points(especially at the start) it did cut well but towards the end it wasn't fitting aswell.

BigD was making a movie a year or so ago, we had 30 - 40 people on the server for the multiple filming sessions we did. Unfortunately we captured a fair bit of footage that turned into nothing but I still have all the stuff I took as the main filmer.

Have a truly epic planned ambush by the Insurgents on Fallujah West with a 2 HMMWV, 1 Bradley and 2 Squad Convoy.

 

Its 12.8GB's of footage so if you want it, PM me and I will send it all to you on DVD's. Its won't be any use for the video you are making now but if you plan on making others this footage could definitely be of value.

 

Some great beach assault vids with heaps of chopper action. Some of it could seriously go straight into a Project Reality Trailer !

It Could Have Seveer Consiquences.

Thought I posted in here must not have so here is the short version.

 

Don't use licensed music in your trailers/videos what ever you want to call it. Stay away from its bad ju ju and frankly its useless. Its youtube garbage every man and his dog military fan boy montage crap.

 

Get permission from the PR team to use some of theirs seen as you are already highlighting their impressive work.

 

Better yet create your own music in the same like and manner do something different. Be creative and don't just cookie cutter another fan boy montage.

With regards to that video, I think its a good starting point. However the song turned me off immediatly. Viewers on youtube want something fresh and new, default songs dont do that.

 

Now I have done extensive filming in Halo: Reach and it is no different to the BF Battlerecorder, so here are my tips:

 

Might I recommend a huge improvement on your camera work. Moving the camera is one of my captial sins. Not only is it difficult to make it go straight and stop smoothly, a moving camera makes it impossible for the viewer to focus on your battle. You are better off placing it in a stationary position and allowing the vehicles / soldiers to move past it.

 

Decent camera work is the difference between professional video and an amatuers. You also dont need to capture everything. Good editing will make up for camera mistakes. But the camera must be very very good. I cant stress more.

 

I also noticed that you put a black screen with text at the start of your video. A big no no. It destroys the professional feel of the movie. You could have gotten someone to say that easily.

 

I also understand that it is a trailer, but avoid musical montages without battle noises....please ....it makes it very boring.

 

Music wise, PR music is a good decision to make. I highly doubt that it is in the Youtube database, so you should be good. Another option is Halo music, Microsoft (I think) made it availible to use for free as long as credit is given. The Halo music has many different moods for your liking. I have all the soundtracks so contact me if you are interested.
