Quick heads up to all the Brisbane based BigD ladies and gents. Myself and a few others are planning on hopefully getting out for a beer and meal on either Friday the 24th of this month or Saturday the 25th.

Yep, depending on where. Maybe we could include a session at (I forget the name - Elysium?) a gaming lounge?

Dinner in CBD/Fortitude Valley and then on to Mana Bar/Elysium/whatever it's called, IMO.

The Mana bar is extremely tiny btw. Like the size of a standard lounge-room tiny. Not that its not fun with mates... but yeah. You'll be surprised.

Errm, Truism, so how did the guys who participated in the (PR) community night a couple of months ago game? Tonnie ran a night there, so either (respectfully) you're mistaken, or they loaded it temporarily?

Was not really my intent on getting another lan night going. If someone wants to organise something to that effect be my guest.

 

Will take everyones idea's and time frames into account and make a call in a couple of days.

Must have been preloaded, I've been there quite a few times and not found it.

5 - 10 BYO computers

Mate there were only a few BYOs I think - Old1 or Tonnie will know, they were there... I'll follow up and make tentative enquiries / inquiries about a LAN night - bearing in mind I only vaguely know what I'm on about - happy to have input.

Tonnie got PR put on a number of computers for us. Then abour 6 or 7 of us brought our PC's as well. Its not hard just have a chat to the owner/operator they are happy to help.

Roight I'll give them a buzz. Vis can you add the numbers at the top of the thread if anyone is interested in doing the LAN thing for me please?

Just while I think of it... if we do another elysium night... peeps need to bring their CD keys, so if they use the house PC's we can use our own keys and all ghost against people on bigd

Unless you get at least 30+ people Lan is not much fun.........no Lan is fine with me & the Creek Hotel is always great!

... maybe I was using wrong terminololololololology??? I meant that if there were a few of us who were interested, after a meal we could go to a gaming lounge for a round or two. If that doesn't work, I'm relaxed about it. As said perhaps it's a better idea when there are adequate numbers.

Let me just reiterate something I have already said.

 

If you want to go to a Lan be my guest but I will not be attending on either night. I work or have to get my missus to work too early on both days. Also note the last event was attended by significantly more people than it appears we have thus far and was organised over a much greater time span I've given to organise this.

 

With that in mind and based on what time frame and dates/days people have said I think the best bet to please the majority is a late lunch say 14:00 onwards at the Breakfast Creek hotel or if we want to be closer to the valley proper maybe The Elephant and Wheelbarrow. Then roll down to the Mana Bar around 17:00 around opening time.

 

If this isn't savvy with your needs feel free to tell someone who cares.

 

No in all seriousness feed back is welcome the time, date and places are not set in stone just remember we trying to get boots on the ground, beers in hands and butts on seats if that means someone needs to take one for the team then so be it.
