well gents it's nearly been one year to the day that i left for Kapooka,

 

it's been a long tough stretch but as of 251600May2011 i am a fully Qualified Aslav/Cavalrymen. next thursday i leave for 2/14 LHR QMI brisbane to begin my career !... (in saying that though im going straight out bush for 12 weeks to do reserve MRE training for OS.. hmmm.. should be interesting however there is a good chance of a spot coming up as its going to be WINTER in the ghan when it's time to go.... and the gents dont like winter over there one bit..

but in saying that there is less chance of :blowup: as the bad guys resort to the hills to "hibernate" then again it may be a SECDET deployment which means iraq.. so we'll see what happens either way i will continue playing until this happens and will also keep you all updated

2/14 is the unit I'd love to be in. Going to be calling the Army up in about a month to get the ball rolling again. Hopefully everything is squared away this time and I get my chance. I just hope my weary old bones don't let me down. Getting old sucks.

by the time i grad, it will be 2 years since my enlistment. (2nd of june, i grad on the 9th from IETs.) but after finally leaving wagga and escaping the raaf base, i will spend another 12months signing off my trade log book, and then only after 3 years of service will i get my full trade pay!!
