From Wikipedia - On 22 July 2008, IF Magazine published an article on its website regarding a rumor of a live-action Cowboy Bebop movie in development by 20th Century Fox. Producer Erwin Stoff said that the film's development was in the early stages, and that they had "just signed it".[19][20] Keanu Reeves has been confirmed as playing the role of Spike Spiegel.[21][22] Variety confirmed on 15 January 2009, that the production company Sunrise Animation will be "closely involved with the development of the English language project." The site also confirmed Kenji Uchida, Shinichiro Watanabe, and series writer Keiko Nobumoto as associate producers, series producer Masahiko Minami as a production consultant, and Peter Craig as screenwriter.[23] It is currently slated for release in 2011.[24]

 

At first i was doubtful about this going to live action and then i saw that Keanu Reeves is going to play Spike....HELL NO!!!! I was hoping some one like jet li would get the role, coz even though spike was european in appearance he was still based on an Asian background. I do not expect much from this movie...i hope it is so bad that they have to make another anime to save face of the origin series.

yeah i have a feeling it will be one of "those" movies....good to look at....and thats it. But yes, would watch it just to see her.

ARGHHHHHHHH Keanu Reeves CANNOT ACT!!!! He has no depth he cannot be Spike Spiegel they might as well cast Nicolas Cage they are after all the same person. HOLLYWOOD YOU DESTROY EVERYTHING I LOVE.

anime will always be better than anything they try to do. the story will definitely be good due to the writing staff however.

 

tbh although shes a total babe shes a bit too young to play valentine.

Screw this movie off I just found out about the Trigun anime movie coming out this year....SWEEEEET!!!!

 

The October 2005 issue of NEO includes an interview with Masao Maruyama, Madhouse's founder and series planner. In the article he reveals the studio is working on a Trigun Movie that will be released in "a couple of years". The November issue of Anime Insider also confirms this news.

In May 2007, Nightow confirmed at the Anime Central Convention that the Trigun movie was in the early stages of pre-production with a near-final script, although he did not divulge any plot information.

In February 2008, more details about the Trigun movie emerged on the cover of volume 14 of the Trigun Maximum manga, announcing that the movie was scheduled for 2009.[6] In October 2009, however, the movie's official website announced a new Japanese premiere set for Spring 2010.[1] The story of the movie, as depicted from the cover, was going to be about "Vash vs. Wolfwood", the two main characters of the manga.[6]

In July 2009, at The Anime Expo convention in Los Angeles, California, Yasuhiro Nightow and Satoshi Nishimura held a panel for the movie. Shigeru Kitayama and Noriyuki Jinguji also appeared to promote the movie. During the convention a trailer was shown depicting characters of the movie.[7]

The film will be animated by the same company that animated the television show, Madhouse.[6]

The film is titled "Trigun: Badlands Rumble" and will open in theaters in Japan on April 24th 2010. A teaser trailer is now streaming: [1]

I'm not one to love anime but this series was excellent, well worth the word removed, I'd go out and buy the series if I had the clams tbh.
