As a number of people have pointed out the current BigD banners are now out of date, therefore are calling on the community to design some new ones :)

 

All banners should include the text 'BigD Gaming Community' AND 'Powered by GAU Servers'.

 

Images are to be 1000x200 and around 100kb in size. .jpg or .png file types.

 

You have 3 weeks to get you entry/entries in, then 2 weeks for voting and judging.

 

Incorporation of BigD colours would be great too:

 

dark blue 002850 r0 g40 b80

burnt orange FF6414 r255 g100 b20

 

Also please don't include any vBF2 images in your banner, PR, ARMA and real life images are encouraged.

Might I make a small suggestion to expand the competition ending time to a few weeks after 0.9's release? That could allow people to make banners working with screenshots from all the new toys :p

    depends what you mean, the background images are just stocks which i edit.

     

    the MW2 guy is a render from planet renders which i added in.

    I would base it on quality. Since I'm no graphic designer, I would base my votes (if any), on the most awesome 100 of them. So if you can submit 100 designs that are better than everyone else's, I would vote for yours.

     

    But, I'm not voting. So I can't say. So far, looking good for everyone. I like the 'realism' banners the most.

    Of course you can mate as long as its constructive. I will give the GAU image a work over and try to fix the issue.

    If your thinking what I'm thinking you will see my updated version and we will all be made of win. :fans:

     

    EDIT: New banner is up its a transparent .png so it will show what ever colour the background it is on which is white in this case.
