Listen up ladies!

 

The final Combat Sims session for 2009 will be held on Saturday 12 December 2009. A section of the guys from LazeRage in Gympie will be making the trip down for this session so there will be a great mix of players. Our regulars from BigD and elsewhere will of course be in attendance.

 

This deployment will involve a Brisbane-only mission in the morning, a slightly less intensive afternoon session when the Rage guys rock up, an afternoon bbq, overnight bivvy, breakfast in the morning and possibly another short mission thereafter.

 

It'll be a big one so get your registrations in!

 

Date: Saturday 12 December 2009

Start: 12/12/09 1000hrs for rego. (That means be there by 1000 - or earlier if you want to stand around and talk crap)

Finish: 13/12/09 ??hrs

Duration: 24 hours(ish)

Location: Baden Powell Park Scout Camping Grounds - Samford

Price: $50 per person including gun hire, afternoon bbq, camping fee, breakfast.

Camo hire: $5 camo overall hire if you need them.

What to bring: Long-sleeved cams (or hire them), Good boots (which you don't mind getting wet), Water (lots), snacks.

If you're staying overnight: Tent/Hoochie/bivvy bag, sleeping mat & sleeping bag if you so desire, extra food if you need it.

 

NOTE: Sessions are 18+ only and you MUST register for each session before attending. If you don't, a place in the session and a weapon won't be reserved for you and you may not be permitted to deploy. To register, PM me with your age, phone number and commitment to attend.

Albatross - yes you should. Come to the December session as there'll be a few new guys there. There'll be plenty of time to go over how the sessions work and talk crap over the bbq. Should be fun and great value for money.

 

Good stuff Chrisso. Not much to prepare for other than ensuring you have nothing else on on that date. And Yes some of the guys do roll with NVGs :-)

 

For anyone who's not prepared enough you don't have to stay overnight. (though will be mocked for failing to do so)

For that kind of comittment I'd be wanting to be in on all the action (on the field, not with your wife) if I were you :-p

Final session of the year, it will still be a good introductory game for those who are thinking of coming to get in on the action.

 

Just pick up your phone and book in, and smoov you have to be good to be on admin/tap.

If I ever head over to Brisvegas for any length of time which would allow me to partake in such activities, I would be thrilled. I would expect a night frivolities on the town afterward, too.

I live in Moorooka not exactly close to Carindale but if you can get yourself over my way that morning or the night before I will gladly take you out with me. I could also probably use a hand considering I will be catering for this event any way.

 

Also I can outfit you with some of my back up gear if you don't have anything yourself.

Cheers, that would be great - it's only about 9-10km by bike . I'll get my sister to send some of my paintball stuff over, so I should be good for gear.

I would love to rego for this but how come no one has put up a proper rego post on the CombatSimsInt site?

 

Neft I can come pick you up seeing as you are in Carindale, only about 15 minutes from me in Tarragindi.

 

Chrisso the drive to Logan is to far just to pick you up but if you wanted to jump on a train to Park Road Station for Arrival around 8:45am - 9:15am I could definitely pick you up on the way through to Samford. I unfortunately don't have any gear I could help you out with, I only have what I would wear.

 

Maybe someone else can lend you some gear before the session or drop into a disposal.

It's already up on the site, or check your emails Cougar should have sent you one.

Gear is not an issue - just need something to carry water in really; cams can be hired for a nominal fee.

 

Patience, Poncho - there's a thread for general discussion of the missions but it's still over a fortnight out so no signup thread yet... I just go in a little early here :-)

 

Great to see more interest from neftaly and chrisso. I'm sure some of the regulars are out Logan way so if you don't get any hits here closer to the event I can hassle 'em for you Chrisso.

Nah all good Seg... i just didnt wanna take my beast out there, if anyone was driving through i'd make it easier on both pockets but hey.. all good, i got a bladder (with no holes TONNIE) and boots.. as for a lil webbing i am sure i have some here somewhere !!! i really need to find my Army S/Bag, will it be a hootchi situation ? how big is the battlefield ? are we going to do night missions ?
