Posted November 23, 200915 yr Well i need a new headset. Currently have some RS 110 wireless Sennheiser's but they suck for gaming and are more suited to the lounge room So I'm looking at getting the Plantronics GameCom 377 (Is this the one which cups your ears, not the one that sit on/atop?) I plan to use the headset for a mix of gaming/music & movies. Are these decent enough for my purpose? Note: Getting a "dedicated" headset + "clip-on" mic is a no go, i've had that system before and its a HUGE pain in the backside and i seem to break that system easily
November 23, 200915 yr So I'm looking at getting the Plantronics GameCom 377 (Is this the one which cups your ears, not the one that sit on/atop?) Yeap that is the no.1 reason I got them. They do not cause me any discomfort at all. I have the closed ear versions and they do the job. I seriously need a house mate to walk up and touch me before I realise they have being talking to me. Other than that like I have said before they are cheap, they are comfortable and if that is all your after then you can't really go wrong with them. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png

Well i don't want super cheap and i like my sound quality, but reading the reviews on them is pretty promising, they seem to be decent enough. Not Sennheiser quality but hopefully as good as my Sony MDR-XD100. If they turn out to be crap i guess my folks will have a new Skye headset
November 23, 200915 yr Yeah the 377s are only like <$60 afaik, so it's not really too expensive. The 777 pair have been good to me, filled my needs as it were. Not sure if the music quality will be up to scratch, but I await your extensive review upon receiving them http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. December 3, 200915 yr Author Well i ended up getting the 367 and they are OK, nothing to write home about. Very disappointed in them, they are good for games, but anything outside that and they sound horrible!. But it's all good i picked up a Sennheiser HD201 headset for $38 @ DSE (BARGIN!)
December 3, 200915 yr Bwah, SOP was right... no wai! Nah just kidding I always knew SOP was right http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. December 3, 200915 yr what about the Gamecon777??? Would they be any better? http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss187/Chanvlan/new_kit.jpg yeah but this is the internet' date=' you have to expect the unexpected or else you'll get caught out by things you should've expected but didn't. December 3, 200915 yr what about the Gamecon777??? Would they be any better? Well I use the gamecom777 and I find them suitable for my needs... but yeah as the reviews etc say, they're a gaming headset, not really for music and stuff, especially if you've got keen ears. They're not bad in my opinion, but I wouldn't make claims that they're the best headphones money can buy http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. December 3, 200915 yr i got the Over ear 777's they finally changed the UBD connector to a more free moving one.. the previous version has the jacks clip into a USB converter that was rigid and point up from the PC.... you get up with the 1500m cord.. and POW broken,,, the new one doent do that.. by applying to much pressure to the cords they just pull out causing NO damage ! imo they are a great set of headphones and for all you quality feinds out there... you wouldnt notice ANY difference definalty with the 5.1 headset.. it sounds GREAT ! hope you got a 3rd party sound card. December 3, 200915 yr hope you got a 3rd party sound card. Whats that little part at the end there? I dont have any sound card, well not to my knowledge, I have my headset and thats it, it comes with a USB port thingy with a small soundcard inside it . . . i think . . . halp! http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss187/Chanvlan/new_kit.jpg yeah but this is the internet' date=' you have to expect the unexpected or else you'll get caught out by things you should've expected but didn't. You're correct, if it goes via USB connection, it uses the USB onboard soundcard. If you plug it in to the 1.5mm jack it uses your soundcard. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. And have an okay reputation for such a cheap headphone. http://imgur.com/e5y6e.gif You've already ruined these forums for me, I have no desire to read your rhetoric or the pathetic arguments you get yourself in to, or the personal vendetta you have against me, so please, do not talk to me. I dont have any sound card, well not to my knowledge, I have my headset and thats it, it comes with a USB port thingy with a small soundcard inside it . . . i think . . . halp! i more suggesting the sound card.. as people go on about you needing the best of the best headets and yet they still only have onboard sound.... how you supposed to get quality like that ? it makes me laugh. so what i meant was... if your one of these "i need the best" well i wouldnt waste money on the "best headset" until you have done sumthin about your on board sound.
