Hi guys, I had read about the manual on collaborators in insurgency... But I still do not understand why USMC still shoot us...

 

Now there are a few question I want to ask. First, in normal cirmcumstances when the Collaborator is running, do the USMC have to right to open fire?

 

I suppose is a no... Then if in that case, other than "restraining" them, if they chuck rocks at us, are we still allow to shoot them!? If yes... My answered been answered... If no please read on...

 

If we still can't shoot them, can we hurt them? Then it is obvious that he will bleed... If he takes out a medic pack to heal himself, can USMC still shoot them!?

 

Otherwise, after healing... Can we still shoot them? I heard that we can open fire on them in the 30 sec timeframe after it took out a medic pack or rocks...

 

Any responses?

short answer don't do it, even if you can meet the criteria of avoiding a penalty - you are depriving yourselves the opportunity for intel points.

No it doesn't....what you have there Roy , is people not giving a damn about trying to help their team win,yay they shoot a Civi...personal giggle/e peen moment for them...but at the same time they are screwing over the rest of the people on their TEAM who are trying to win the round.

dont shoot them at all, the rocks are there to annoy you, thats not firing on you, if you shoot them your score now = 0 and intel points -10 . . . bottom line dont shoot them unless they are on a ladder

 

smashing them in the face is way more fun tbh

You can capture them using the melee cuffs and you can capture them using the breaching shot gun.

 

Anything else isn't worth persuing, IMO.

The civilian Collaborator

The insurgent players can choose a Collaborator kit

which does not contain any weapons (except for

stones). They can call in mortar strikes with their

cellphones when a commander is present (see chapter

#6). Civilians take 2 minutes to respawn when they

are killed or arrested (temporary spawn time penalties

still apply).

If you shoot civilians, you will face several penalties:

After your next death you will respawn 120

seconds later per civilian shot (stacks up to 5

minutes additional delay)

You will not be able to request any limited kits for 10 minutes

Your score is reduced to 0 and the kill will not be listed on the scoreboard

Your team loses 10 intelligence points

You can arrest civilians (and other insurgents) with the restrainer which

replaces the knife on insurgency maps. The Shotgun with breaching slugs can

also be used to arrest any insurgents. Civilians that suicide are counted as

arrested and give bonus IP to the coalition team.

Civilians may be run over with a vehicle or shot while using vehicles, ladders

or ropes without any penalty or bonus. There is also no penalty for shooting

them if they used a weapon, vehicle or their medical equipment in the last 60

seconds.

Score Penalties:

A player's positive score and teamwork score will be reduced to 0 if he commits

one of the following acts:

Two punished teamkills in one life

Shooting a civilian under penalty conditions

Destroying a weapons cache as insurgent

The total score of a player can never go below 0 but the teamwork score can

become negative. Also if you teamkill someone and pick up a limited kit with

the name of your victim's kit (within 3 minutes), you die instantly

In game or IRL?

 

IRL, rules of engagement and OFOF's (usually) stipulate that a rock does not constitute materially assisting the enemy. Basically, we can only waggle our fingers and say 'No no, Mr Afgani with a mobile phone and binoculars, do not throw rocks at Coalition soldiers'.

 

In PR, I assume the same thing applies. They were given rocks to annoy the Coalition. And its funny as hell to get a few collaborators to pelt rocks at a tank or APC lol. But it doesn't mean the Coalition can fire on the. Same applies to running away. Running does not indicate guilt, only that the suspect enjoys running :p

I shoot civies all the time because alot of people are silly and don't understand the rules and think they are invincible, I do it strictly under the rules so dont worry about me not giving a dam, i just find it funny when they pop their heads up going, look at me im a civilian dont shoot me my hands are up then bang right in the face. Its pretty obvious when a Civi has just been healing a friendly ect

 

Basically if they have a med pack out take them down, if they are on a grapple take them out, if they are in a vehicle take them out, on a ladder take them out.

 

Use the shotgun (door breaching) or the restrainers other times

Ahhh. Im so glad I have a GF and she doesnt read these forums...

On Fallujah tonight I heard footsteps, then a civi came bolting around the corner at me so I shot him accidently. If you jump out at coalition they might shoot you some times, just be careful.
