Posted September 2, 200915 yr Hey everyone, to my dismay this morning I can no longer visit any website not based in Australia. Firefox basically just times out when I attempt to go to any webpage based overseas.. I am with Telstra Bigpond, but is anyone else getting this problem? edit: nvm I can now...seriously planning on forming a military force to destroy Telstra.... September 2, 200915 yr so you fell into the orange category. did you modem have the ppp light on? if not, then try resetting it, if it doesn't come on then you can safely assume it's a problem with your isp http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
September 2, 200915 yr Author It's definitely to do with Telstra, but it's ok now. If it happens again I'm going to go Tropic Thunder-Tom Cruise on the phone to them [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
September 3, 200915 yr lol, if you do I hope we find a recording of the conversation on here. :thumbsupsmileyanim: http://www.clan-tea.com/sigs/2011/Toons.png[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them. - George Bernard Shaw
September 3, 200915 yr ...I was very worried as I couldn't access Blackboard Upside down, upside down. Ahhhh I used to love me a bit of Mr. Squiggle.
September 3, 200915 yr It wasn't just Telstra, a number of ISP's had issues with their EBGP routing this morning. I'd say a key carrier lost one of their core routers and didn't have any redundancy set up - tssk tssk. Single points of failure are nubsauce.
September 3, 200915 yr yep was a disaster this morning for ISP's http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/2111/shotgunreal.pnghttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamahons.jpghttp://www.bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/lol.bmp Love you long time gunner <3 I like to wait till im nearly done, then pull out and yell "COVERING FIRE!!!" September 3, 200915 yr Same here but apparently that's not what most of the guys in whirlpool.net.au think XD http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/merc.bmp On the topic of shiny auscam... the sound they made while bush walking made it seem like I was doing mean things to little furry animals inside my pants

September 3, 200915 yr I had a look at whirlpool.net.au, and for me, TPG is the way to go, its number 3 on the list of users, i think and as far as price to download goes its one of the best, and ive never had a problem with drop outs or any other rubbish, I wont be changing any time soon, but it all depends on where you are and what you want to pay. Im paying $50 for 50Gb a month, and im happy with that, other providers may do better deals, but at least i know ill never have a drop out "i hope". and from what ive seen posted on this site Telstra and Optus are evils to avoid.
