June 29, 200915 yr Apocalypse Now or We were Soldiers spring to mind. http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/bahlye007/mouse_zps73307fb2.gif
June 29, 200915 yr Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan. Both made it feel like I was "there" http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/2561/bigdsig.jpg
June 29, 200915 yr Band of Brothers (TV series but still really good) Flags of our forefathers adn letters from iwo jima http://www.users.on.net/~beljas/Wispit/wispit.php 'If All Else Fails, Use The Hammer'
June 29, 200915 yr The Anzacs - great story following a group of farm hands etc through WW1. Paul Hogan is pretty much the only star in it that most would recognize. Was filmed around the 70-80's i think so some may consider it a bit dated. Good watch nontheless. Similar to Band of Brothers. Kelly's Heros - great flick that EA ripped off when making BF:BC. Windtalkers - good flick about native american's being used as code talkers in WW2. Platoon - good flick If your into older style ones, then: The Longest Day Battle Of Brittan Battle Of The Bulge are all pretty good. There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
June 29, 200915 yr Enemy at the gates [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC][WC]Private http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmphttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/armouredservice.bmp http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2315/ubd4327.png http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/6780/blackmagikzwc.png "A tank is like a fat timid kid at a dance party , always too shay to get into the action and ask a girl to dance with him and always backs down after every approach" -Some Marine Capitan i forgot- Iwo Jima
June 29, 200915 yr Windtalkers - good flick about native american's being used as code http://files.myopera.com/Zaphira/albums/612265/do%20not%20want.jpg Evil movie ruined by Nicholas Cages complete lack of skills as a actor. I would suggest pretty much everything else so far mentioned just not this movie. OHHH and one that has not being mentioned so far Tour of Duty its a looks a little old compared to the new movies and TV shows but is still one of the best war television series ever. June 29, 200915 yr I'd recommend anyone to read the book Black Hawk down. +1 to that, Eric Bannahs character in the movie is based on a number of different guys in the book. Also reading the book, the mental image it gives when describing the area they are fighting in is a lot more closed off than in the movie imo. There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
June 29, 200915 yr Battle of Britain (and i know its been said a few times but it really is a good movie, saw it when i was like 10 and still remember it) Band of Brothers . . . DEFINATLY!!! Black Hawk Down Shooter . . . . i love this movie so much awsomeness involved! http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss187/Chanvlan/new_kit.jpg yeah but this is the internet' date=' you have to expect the unexpected or else you'll get caught out by things you should've expected but didn't. Its exactly like knowing about the stuff you dont know about, that way you know theres stuff you dont know so when you know what you dont know you can say "ah i knew that!"[/quote']
June 29, 200915 yr Shooter . . . . i love this movie so much awsomeness involved! +1 to that, next time you watch it, check out the special features and the one on Marky Mark doing to sniper school. For once they did a sniper flick where they actually TRY and be as accurate (LOLZ0R beams set to ROFLOPTOR) as possible with what gear a sniper uses and how they setup their 'work area' There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master.
