Okay, this was happening just before I upgraded so I know where the issue is just do not know how to fix it. My chassis USB port up front is screwed, just one the other workds just fine.

The front jack USB hub has a USB port that is broken. I don't care though as I never use that one but what is driving me insane is the constant notification over and over and over and over and over...

Seriously I am getting angry. One works but the other does not.

I tried to disable it but the error message keeps on popping up every 30 seconds with a bubble warning and a stupid sound.

I'm just about ready to get in there with my swiss army knife and start cutting wires.

What should I try first? I don;t care if it stays broken, I just want it to not ever give me the damn message.

I have a stupid amount of USB ports at the back and one up front that works so I don't need it. However, as I'm trying to quit ciggies and have had a lot less it's making me want to throw the whole lot out the 8th floor window!

Just disconnect the front port plug/wires from your mother board. If they are no longer connected then you won't have to deal with it any more. Should use be a 2 sets of wire with a small white 3, 6 or 8 pin connecter? To lazy to check mine and tell you. :D

IS there a way to replace the ports themselves?

I disconnected them ages ago but they are in such a handy spot I'd love to have them fixed.

I can see why they are broken, they are all full of crusty dust looking stuff.

How did you find that part? I'm trying to trace your steps so I can order it but don't know what section it's under.
