Indeed different games. You have to try to see for your self. No point flaming either game, Some prefer one, some prefer the other, And some love em both the same, each person has there own reasons.

PR is an absolutely awesome game, as Im sure Arma 2 is/will be (when It gets shipped to me). IMO they both cater to a different sub-sect of the War Reality niche.

People have told me there is PvP in Arma but no one plays it. I've not played Arma and I am interested but I like pure online play against other people over a bot so I'm still on the fence as to whether or not to have a crack.

The bots are quite smart sometimes... sometimes your the one cursing at the bots, and believe that they are using hacks... they aren't retarded bots... they're quite intelligent

The major difference I personally find and its what causes me the most issue with ARMA (Haven't played 2) compared to PR is the amount of commands/buttons. Obviously its important for a simulator/realism game to have many more possible actions/commands then a arcade game such as BF2. However I have yet to find one that has made using these actions simple and intuitive.

 

A good example is with ACE mod and ARMA 1 you could setup your weapon to steady it on a sandbag or something to that effect. I however could never get it to work because I would constantly forget the combination of keys needed to do it. Even with ARMA's scroll wheel menus I always fell over whelmed with all the possible different things I can do often ending in my death from indecision or mistake. Example of this is when I am trying to bail from a helicopter that is going down half the time I'm not sure if I said to bail out, get out or turn on pop up menu anyway I usually die. :sweat:

I'm an ArmA / ArmA 2 player myself, but I'm curious about PR. Will have to give it a try.
