Posted May 15, 200915 yr My little G25 Racing Wheels has been sitting in the cupboard for some time now so I was wondering what are some decent driving games out there for the PC. I've got GTR which isn't too bad and I had TestDriver from Atari which was fun. The more realistic the better. Aresnik [WC] Leiutenant Braaaaaaaarp!
May 15, 200915 yr i really like playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted, cop chases CAN be fun (o: [edit] - GRID is suppose to be good, never played it myself tho... May 15, 200915 yr yer id go for GRID, played the demo and loved it (didnt have money for the full thing lol) looks great, sounds great and very very nice physics model http://i.imgur.com/TLiDl.png
May 15, 200915 yr Live for Speed is a good one, very realistic and fun racing. Its really fun when you get in the small cars and do drifting around a car park and the track. I have played it a little but only the trial, would be very fun with G25 IMO. http://www.clan-tea.com/sigs/flames/Poncho-Temp.png Orders starting with SOMEBODY usually wind up being completed by NOBODY.
May 15, 200915 yr GRID was pretty same-y after you get over the novelty although I got awesome at drifting in the demo... if only I hated my car enough to put it through that sort of torture, I'd be at kwinana MP every weekend!!! http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/psyrus_uraya/awards-1.png QFT: Your computer is smart man. It tells you not to play the second worst PR map [burning Sands] (first is Wanda Shan). QFT: if you dont get pissed off when you lose you dont care enough
May 15, 200915 yr If you are looking for racing simulators GTR2 and rFactor are amazing. Just prior to seeing this thread I was thinking of plugging in my momo for a spin http://www.deadlycombinationclan.com/anaraith/sig/rotate.php FEAR ME I AM PITA BREAD
May 15, 200915 yr if you can get/find a copy, Powerslide was great in the day (o: There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
May 15, 200915 yr Test Drive Unlimited (if that's not the one you've already got) is brilliant, if a little dated now. The beauty with it, and the G25 is that the gear shift use depends on the type of car. Drive a new Ferrari or Lambo and the gear stick is disabled, but the paddles are engaged - it's the exact opposite for the older cars like the Gulwing Merc's and even the roadsters like the Super7 Caterham. Grid is pretty cool - but yeah, can get a little samey. If realism is what you're after, Live for Speed is spot on for me, but a LOT of people really get into rFactor. Give it a shot.
May 15, 200915 yr Author Sweeeet! I'll have to check out some demos Aresnik [WC] Leiutenant Braaaaaaaarp!
May 15, 200915 yr Aresnik how the hell did you have a G25 just 'sitting around' in your cupboard?? I play rFactor, you can race pretty much any form of motorsport you can think of, check out www.rfactorcentral.com to check it's modding community. Also been playing NFS:Undercover, good chases but a bit stupid how they can do 400kmh+ to catchup and pass you
May 15, 200915 yr 3 words not including these LIVE FOR SPEED need visa or paypal to get it tho http://www.lfs.net/
May 15, 200915 yr rfactor, hands down. Whatever mod takes your fancy, v8 supercars and porsche are great. Kind of what PR is like to vBF2. http://imgur.com/e5y6e.gif You've already ruined these forums for me, I have no desire to read your rhetoric or the pathetic arguments you get yourself in to, or the personal vendetta you have against me, so please, do not talk to me. Ever. About anything.
May 15, 200915 yr fuel is a new game coming out.... its gonna be epic like 1400^2 km or something like that its gonna be sweet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_(video_game) Edited May 15, 200915 yr by plaz http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/2111/shotgunreal.pnghttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamahons.jpghttp://www.bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/lol.bmp Love you long time gunner <3 I like to wait till im nearly done, then pull out and yell "COVERING FIRE!!!" Ahhh. Im so glad I have a GF and she doesnt read these forums...
May 16, 200915 yr I bought Live for Speed and it's pretty good. Found it one of the best for force feedback with my Momo, must admit though I hav not played much driving games since PR. Had the ocassional race between four of us hooked up over the LAN and was a lot of fun. Sounds like rFactor is good once you setup the mods though also, not sure about it's force feedback model? Post when you are going to be playing if you get it going and might try and get in for couple of laps.. Some of the city maps were good fun. Briefly tried demo of Grid on PC, but found the steering and feedback attrocious, perhaps my settings though? Edited May 16, 200915 yr by BAND+A1D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
May 16, 200915 yr I have tried the demo for GTR2 and it's pretty good. I didn't have a wheel so I pretty much gave up on it. NFSC is the only racing game I own tho. http://i.imgur.com/DtNdckc.png [WC]Xavo|xXx:
May 16, 200915 yr I have a G25 also. It was so worth the money. GTR2 and GT Legends are pretty damn realistic and I would highly recommend. GRID is a little arcadish but alot of fun. GRID looks great, but at the same time is forgiving on the requirments. I play all of these on my media center pc which is a 939 socket 3500+ with 2g ram and a 7950 gt. Coupled up to my 100" projector its just as good as any arcade driving simulator. Gotta watch out for vertigo tho. lols! http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/shuffle34.jpg “No point in mentioning these bats, I thought. May 17, 200915 yr This is my custom painted truck for the WCORR series in rfactor http://www.aggravated-assault.us/files/team_aussie.jpg
