Posted April 26, 200915 yr new game coming out next year looks really good. http://au.gamespot.com/pc/action/sixdaysinfallujah/index.html?tag=result;title;2 not much on it now but the pics make it look like a good game.
April 26, 200915 yr http://au.xbox360.ign.com/objects/143/14336300.html more here. ..sounds interesting, especially the New Engine and the bullet penetration values for different materials. http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/six-days-in-fallujah-20090406021437.jpg http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/six-days-in-fallujah-20090413014057.jpg This kinda sums it all up Six Days in Fallujah is being built with a custom engine designed to be capable of showing off the sheer destruction that took place as war ravaged the cityscape. Buildings, walls, and just about everything else can and will be destroyed throughout the course of the game. No piece of cover is guaranteed to last forever. One section of the demo even showed the player using plastic explosives to blow up a section of a wall to create a new path to flank the enemy. At this point in development, the visuals looked a bit rough compared to some other shooters out there, but there's always time to clean things up before it hits store shelves. To really make the reality of the situation hit home, Six Days in Fallujah intersperses documentary style video interviews with people who experienced the battle first-hand. Though the graphics can't compare with some of the highest rated shooters of recent years, we'll have to wait until we get our hands on Six Days in Fallujah before passing judgment. How it controls and, perhaps more importantly, how the missions are laid out will be key to the success of this project. It's refreshing to see a game tackling current issues -- it could even be seen as a maturation of videogames as a whole -- but it also means this project will get closer scrutiny than most. Let's hope the gameplay does the concept justice. http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/bahlye007/mouse_zps73307fb2.gif
April 26, 200915 yr realism more to the point of insurgency and less to the point of PR... still better then cod4 When in trouble or in doubt, RUN IN CIRCLES SCREAM AND SHOUT!!! http://nanourl.net/46e85
April 26, 200915 yr Read an article about serving US personnel calling for the game to be banned as it's a little too fresh in the memory. They had both sides of the story though, some supporting it, some disliking it. http://imgur.com/e5y6e.gif You've already ruined these forums for me, I have no desire to read your rhetoric or the pathetic arguments you get yourself in to, or the personal vendetta you have against me, so please, do not talk to me. Ever. About anything.
April 27, 200915 yr it would be good if we could implement the interactive surroundings with pr , kicking in doors and destroying buildings oh yeah . [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
April 27, 200915 yr they can do that, make a 'weapon' in the inventory called kick, or physical action or something, could double as the restrainer, and a breaching shotgun at the same time.
April 27, 200915 yr you could, but that would lag everything to hell aww not fps, but still looks interesting Edited April 27, 200915 yr by AIF LANKY
April 27, 200915 yr Here's a game that could be suitable candidate for the R+18 rating. Two bad for me ey? I think I can live without a "realistic" third person shooter though. Compuntiny Member.

April 28, 200915 yr this thread just died. http://i.imgur.com/ebwNl.png The Nomula: nom = 3(nom) or 3nom :. nom = nomnomnom :. nomnomnom + omnnom^2 - nom = omnnomnomnomomn _____________________2nom( 1/2 nom) Oh' date=' and i shottie having gunners mutant epic PR playing children[/quote']
April 28, 200915 yr Third person is good somtimes as you aquire a larger field of vision -a more real field if you like- than standard first person views. Obviously the other alternative is ArmA's clever use of widescreen monitors that BF2 can't do. http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamahons.jpg
April 28, 200915 yr 3rd persons can be good sometimes... Yes but you cannot have ironsights in a third person shooter this completely destroys any feel of realism a game has for me. Put an aiming ridicule in front of me and its over its over now move over this games shut down. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa188/VisOne_Photo/Signatures%20and%20Banners/VisP.png
April 28, 200915 yr 3rd persons can be good sometimes... Yeah, in Splinter Cell. Not much else though. http://www.bigdgaming.net/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=720&dateline=1226123908

April 28, 200915 yr http://palgn.com.au/pc-gaming/14215/konami-ditches-six-days-in-fallujah/ While only being announced a fortnight ago, Konami has quickly canned the controversial Iraq shooter Six Days in Fallujah due to an outpouring of negative press. The title was intended to be a realistic portrayal of the bloody battle between insurgents and US forces in Fallujah in 2004. The negative backlash came from families of fallen soldiers, retired veterans and citizens' groups in both the United States and Europe, who criticised the title, branding it as insensitive and in poor taste towards those that served in the conflict. Konami's PR people were quick to share their side of the story, stating: "After seeing the reaction to the videogame in the United States and hearing opinions sent through phone calls and e-mail, we decided several days ago not to sell it. We had intended to convey the reality of the battles to players so that they could feel what it was like to be there." There is no word on whether Atomic Games' realistic shooter will be saved from the scrap heap by another publisher, but judging by the amount of negative press surrounding the story, it's probably safe to say that this game will most likely never see the light of day. http://i.imgur.com/zoL1k.png
April 28, 200915 yr Thats a shame but you cant blame the backlash bit too soon IMO. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z174/ironchefspook/spook_BF2_PR_1.png

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. - On Gun Confiscation
May 3, 200915 yr Taken from the Herald Sun's Play section: The shooter has been ditched by publisher Konami. This was in response to a bunch of negative press from families and soldiers as it was considered insensitive and in poor taste. Edited: Ahh i didn't see the above posts.... fail.
