Hey hey!

 

I haven't been on the forums for a while...and was just having a looksee to see what map was playing.

 

Anyway, It's ANZAC day, so I'm going to honour our predecessors by playing PR and identifying with...

 

 

OK - my point is coming.

 

Can we have a couple of reserved spots on the server for members? I notice lots of other servers do this, and after spending 10mins trying to get on the other day, and having had this experience a few times, I thought it might be a good idea.

Either 2-4 reserved slots for members, or maybe even donaters?

 

 

 

 

I'm off to fly around Qwai River with the other 3 people on the server now :).

ummm... if server 1 is full go to server 2! or simply wait... i doubt there will be any 'reserved' slots on these servers, never has been, never will be.

 

0.9 will have a new auto join feature thanks to our very own Ancientman. so you can press it an wait without refreshing and clicking all the time ;)

IMO War would be the exact thing they would not want us to ever be involved in if it is not needed. Probably best to just leave PR as a game and not allow it to represent anything else for today.

Reserved slots won't happen...

 

Just wait until 0.86 (bit earlier than 0.9 it turns out ;)) with auto deploy, and start it then go get some food or something. It is a bit buggy though, doesn't work 100%, so if you get back and you see a server is full message, just start the function again :).

Theoretically, who would be important, or more important enough to have one of those 2-4 spots reserved for them.

 

Personally, I would put Edwood last on that list ;)

You've already ruined these forums for me, I have no desire to read your rhetoric or the pathetic arguments you get yourself in to, or the personal vendetta you have against me, so please, do not talk to me. Ever. About anything.

I always found those spots annoying, its a moment of "yay a free spot" only to be shut down hard cos you're not important!

2-4 spots for forum members!!! when the server is full i would expect that there would be over 50% of the players from the forums on the server....so you would still be waiting.

 

And if the server is full and you are waiting....DO NOT COMPLAIN OVER MUMBLE GLOBAL (points finger at ed)

Anyway the answer is no it has always being no and will continue to be no. GSA has being kind enough to outfit us with 3 different severs and if you don't want it cut back to 2 or even 1 again I suggest you use more than just server 1 more often.

i know its been locked but i will give people an explanation as to why.

 

reserved slots dont work properly.

 

If you have 2 reserved slots and the server is full (ie 62 players on and 2 spots spare for who ever) an another person joins thta is not on the reserved list then they get kicked and banned by the server.

 

Dont know why it happens but it does. There are many threads on the PR forums about people getting banned from a particular US server that has this and they have to continually reverse bans.

 

As stated there are enough servers here for all to play.
