    This is a console only deal I believe. CryEngine 4 will be the next big version for next gen consoles and the PC...multiplatform (2012).

     

    CryEngine 3 is pretty much a toned down, highly optimised version of CryEngine 2.....you might call it, CryEngine 2.5. It's for 360 and PS3 only.

    I've finally upgraded my PC to a quad core CPU and a beast graphics card - with a little overclocking, I can run Crysis on ultra settings - and it's beautiful! :) But yeah, pity the game sucked.

     

    I'm pretty sure CryEngine3 is not just for consoles. It's been designed for a very wide application basis, from consoles, to MMO's. In fact the MMO side is one of the core design principles behind it I believe.

     

    Early days yet, so nothing to really get excited about - other than the fact that it's now available as a finished middleware product for any and all game designers to go to town with. The future of gaming is looking good! :D

    Is this actually a NEW engine? Looks just like cryengine 2, for the crysis's. I think it might just be a slightly enhanced version of. Specially if its true its console only. Either way, dosn't look that much better than crysis graphics.

    I like the fact they they had different scenes showing off what the engine can do, imo its looks like cry2 engine on super ultra settings, but I am yet to see those settings play in real life :(
