Some of you may remember me from the very early days of PR when we struggled to get more than 3 players in the server. If not, you missed my deep, husky voice over VOIP and I know you regret it.

 

Just wanted to know (and I know this is off-topic and not that constructive), where PR is at in terms of players, in-game civility, in-game playability and general community love.

 

Its been a long time since I've played PR and I am interested in giving it a shot again, BF2-engine problems aside.

There are two servers up and running now. Always people on them in the evenings.

 

Many many new players around but some regulars and old hands about as well.

 

New patch is coming out soon(ish) which will have some massive changes to game play.

 

We also have a number of clans now involved in PR and are looking at creating a scrim ladder soon.

Good to see some of the old blood coming back, now on with the show.

 

Bigdy had to move to a larger service supplier so now were Gaming South Australia - Bigdy we keep bigdy in homage to our past and to continue to thank the team over there for there support. However since we have moved to GSA we have come to have a 2nd server we now have a 52 player server and a 32 player server, both with very different styles of game play.

 

One thing is for certain gone are the days where we couldn't field enough players to capture or defend flags well, its not unheard of to see both the 52 and the 32 player servers full. We also have such a large player base we can now have special matches and we hold them regularly, on the whole and whole you will love what we have done to the place.

 

However be warned with such a large player influx there ofcourse comes some issues and some may say the maturity level has dropped a little but that can't be helped.

 

No there is most certainly a good time to be had by all.

I'm a bit of a new comer to PR (last few months or so) and have found PR and bigD to be the best place to find friendly players willing to work together.

 

Since dicovering the bigD servers I've not seen any reason whatsoever to start up normal vanilla BF2,

in fact bigD servers have given me a reason to NOT start up BF2.

 

YES it is true, there are a lot of new players which haven't really figured out PR (or un-learnt their vanilla ways) yet,

But we are all working on them and they'll get there. :wink:

 

The community as a whole is very friendly, very helpful and has a nice feel to it ***oohhh did you feel that? that was a warm fuzzie*** :lol:

We still love you, PR is still a lot of fun, and the community backing has been awesome. To see the community grow from nothing to this is excellent. Remember when we'd get excited if there were 6 players on the server?

Hey look, it's that SOP person. I remember you back from the austactical forums. Until it got overrun by a horde of bots.....

 

Gameplay levels vary depending on the day. Most of the time, weekends can get pretty shocking, but they'll level out later on in the night when most of the young'uns go to bed. Weekdays tend to be good most of the time though. Especially a little later in the night.
