Just wondering how much interest there would be in running a night like the good old days, a server time dedicated for learnerd SL to have 5 newbies tag along and learn the basics and more advanced ideals of this game that seasoned campagners take for granted.

I hear too many vets complain about new players instead of putting their hands up, helping out, being patient and remembering how steep the learning curve was back when they started.

This might also be good for players that have been away for a few patches to freshen up their knowledge of the new game.

I think the result will help the pub games become more enjoyable for everyone.

It's easy to lead if they respect you. You just have to lead by example as the saying goes...

i love the idea but I do have 1 worry, if it's not pass worded, which i presume it wont be (to allow non-community members to play) how will the Team work part of the night be enforced

If I am a SL and I have too many clannies in there I will kick them.

Not too sure how it will go on the small server though.....it will either be full, which will stop newbies joining that need it most and could fill up with clannies.

Can we just do it like informal on server 1....everyone will be there anyway. If you want to SL with new players, make the name of the squad something like NEWBS.

Well that's interesting. Either we have no new players or the new players don't use the forums!!!

Is there a way to see how many new people are joining the forums? Admins?

Also, 100 views but not many votes!!!!

I think it's a good idea, gekko, but I floated the same idea a few months ago and didn't garner any interest. That said, if the server was set up for a 'n00b night' and some rules were enforced, people might just join and actually learn something.
