Posted September 12, 200816 yr Just gauging people's feelings on this subject. Basically, do you think its ok that some people are running around as infantry, using Pilot and Crewman kits because there is less deviation on the pistol and uzi(?) these kits get. http://www.vrcombat.com/alive_footer_white_1.gif http://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo1.pnghttp://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo2.pnghttp://alivemod.com/img/alive_footer_logo3.png
September 12, 200816 yr wait no i said the wrong thing!!! i dont really mind it to much, can sort of get annoying cause once i found 3 pilots on bi ming.
September 12, 200816 yr Go for it I rekon you never know when you're going to bump into a downed chopper Aresnik [WC] Leiutenant Braaaaaaaarp!
September 12, 200816 yr Ah if they feel the need to try and improve their chances of getting kills by avoiding deviation good luck to them, heck no different to HAT sniping http://matt.itsthemadhouse.com/na/sigs/na-sig-gruanch5.png http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/bulletmagnet.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/gren.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/ocrs.bmp http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamaserv.jpg
September 12, 200816 yr Go for it I rekon you never know when you're going to bump into a downed chopper Especially with some of the people flying at the moment, IF YOU TAKE A CHOPPER DONT LAND THEN GET OUT! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png
September 12, 200816 yr I did it the other day on Al Basrah. Not by choice my chopper got cut up pretty bad by a tek.50 so i landed it. Shot the gunner of the .50 in the head then the driver. Had a bit of contact trying to negotiate my way out of the Kill zone Then made my way to a landy and made it allll the way back to main base safely where their was a brand new APC waiting for me. http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/7767/hhmw5.png
September 12, 200816 yr If they are using the kit just because of less deviation then that is just simply lame..Not really in the spirit of the game . Personally i wouldn't appreciate a person in my squad doing that. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm120/Albatross-water/AlbatrossSig3.png
September 12, 200816 yr I was in an APC once and it was on fire so I bailed along with the driver and we were in hostile territory... let me tell you... the smg cant hit squat... i was less than 10m from a target and It took 1 1/2 clips to kill him http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/2111/shotgunreal.pnghttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamahons.jpghttp://www.bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/lol.bmp Love you long time gunner <3 I like to wait till im nearly done, then pull out and yell "COVERING FIRE!!!" Ahhh. Im so glad I have a GF and she doesnt read these forums...

September 12, 200816 yr i was less than 10m from a target and It took 1 1/2 clips to kill him then THAT guy gets an EPIC FAIL for standing there and LETTING you change mags on him :lolabove: There comes a time in every musician's life when they must decide what instrument they should master. Few. If any are ever worthy enough to master. The cowbell.
September 12, 200816 yr so thats y i keep seeing people with the damn crewman kits. show some class people and take kits that are worth stealing off ur corpse. Evil Shenanigans!
September 12, 200816 yr Interesting. Funny how deviation creates unrealistic play. In relation to the poll (not voting), personally I would not, or never choose, the kit that makes the job of killing the lamest/easiest. If you ever played Red Orchestra, you would know why I'm a Rifleman, all the way. Ever. About anything.
September 12, 200816 yr It is bad. From an individual point of view having a pistol or an M4 with aimpoint might (and I stress might as I find the rifles on auto to be just as good in most CQB situations) help you defeat a single enemy easier in a close range battle. However at long range these weapons range between average and useless. From a teamwork point of view choosing a pilot or crewman kit deliberately for infantry combat is unacceptable. All of the other kits add a valuable ability to your squad/team be it AT support, healing, repairs, spare ammo, or even the simple fact that you may have grenades or a shovel. Simply put anyone using a pilot or crewman kit because they believe the pistol or whatever is better at killing enemies is playing for himself and not the team and the kind of player I don't want in my squads. September 12, 200816 yr says the guy with a pilot kit last night , just kiddin i know it wasnt yours and you where muckin around lol http://i.imgur.com/TLiDl.png
September 12, 200816 yr If people are grabbing those kits.. they obviously still have the stigma that ironsight riflemen still suck the dong. http://i.imgur.com/wofKY.jpg Portfolio Site http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpghttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/opagamaserv.jpg
September 12, 200816 yr I don't mind. I dig the hat the Chinese crewman gets. Here is a list of particularly awesome things: dogs sniping very spicy chilli cat claws on people (but still cool on cats)
September 12, 200816 yr I got the pilot kit once accidently on Barracuda (game was going nowhere as usual anywhere) so Wolf's probably reffering to his experience with me . Honestly though: pistol = more manageable close range weapon, it is and I repeat it is like hurling foam balls at enemies from a long range so it makes the user useless, and removes the functionality from a squad as wolf said. September 13, 200816 yr iv never done it, but I must say the MEC Crewman guns are pretty cool Good Conduct http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/goodconduct.bmp
September 13, 200816 yr Who needs a gun when you can walk around with a knife (presuming it registers) http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u258/5tack/pROSsig2.png
September 13, 200816 yr just think... is it what the devs intended? would it occur irl? think the answer to both would be no http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy116/IINoddyII/aux1_zpsab5224fd.png
September 13, 200816 yr just think... is it what the devs intended? would it occur irl? think the answer to both would be no Thats half the reason I SL so much in 0.8, the pistol is awesome in cqb, they may not have intended for it for it to happen but as a result of their changes this has happened. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ee/US_Army_E-2.svg/50px-US_Army_E-2.svg.png http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4927/awardslf0.png
September 13, 200816 yr Just to clarify regarding my post, I know a lot of the time in a not so serious game (like when you are sitting on Barracuda as Chinese with nothing to do because the USMC can't get off their carrier) people sometimes grab random kits for a bit of a laugh and some fun and that is all good. What I am referring to is some players who genuinely think that grabbing these kits in a serious game is a good thing to do, for the reasons I posted in my above post. IMHO this is exactly the same behaviour as the good old "player joins squad and instantly grabs sniper kit" behaviour that everyone universally hates players doing.

September 13, 200816 yr That's cool Dogg, like I said it only ****s me when people do it in serious games. BTW I still beat you in kills to deaths by only using my rifle compared to you using your pistol
