Anyone else have trouble with their CD-Key when installing BF2? I uninstalled bf2 and im trying to reinstall but my CD Key keeps getting knocked back by the installer. I've used it before, whats the dealy-o?

maybe any letter O's in the key are actually zero's ?

 

are you using capitals? IS YOUR CAPS-LOCK ON?

You do know how that's been there for a while now.

 

In fact, that news item is about 0.6 coming out.

I would check your GUID here...,someone may have got hold of your bf2 cd-key.(there are ways...)

EDIT: No DICE (See what i did there lol). Not banned, but I have recently posted my PID on my profile for my 'Nilla clan...

If its only the installer than it cant be due to ban or someone else using it because the installer doesn't check online, it just uses an algorithm to check that it is a possible key and is in a valid form. As stated above try changing 0's to o's etc.

 

If you installed it using that key at one stage, then it should work again regardless of use, hell if you really wanted to you can install with a pirated key then when u figure out the problem you can change the key back via C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\Support\code-key.exe or something like that. If you do this way you have to re-encrypt your key into the registry as only the patch can encrypt.
