Its vista score sucks..

Its got 5.9 on everything except memory on 5.7..

Now ive just told mine to update and check my score, I have 6 firefox windows open, winamp playing music, arama running in background, MSN messanger, bitcommet, Teamspeak, and some other secuirity and anti virus stuff running.. And it just tested my pc and gave the following score with all that stuff running at the same time as the test.

 

proccesor: 5.2 (only a standard dual core)

Memory(ram): 5.8 (4gig ram)

Graphics: 5.9 (8800gts 320mb)

Gaming Graphics: 5.9

Primary hard disk: 5.7 (I didnt get anything special, just a standard 320gig hd)

 

It would seem there score sucks compared to mine when you compare hardware / cost.

Mine cost me $2500 about 12-14months old now.

 

Oh and $250 of that was for vista.. I run 64bit premium..

Yes.. Not an off the shelf model.. I gave a list of everything I wanted including case. power supply, motherboard , monitor etc and had a friend who owns a pc shop order it and build it.

yeah for a off the shelf computer i dont think its that bad... hand picking though is another story... good to know someone in the industry though.

I dont understand why people have a fear of building their own machines, research your component's google them, get an idea of what you want, talk to your local pc store guys and see what they say (dont take everything as gospel not all know everything)

Hunt for good prices for your components, buy em, come home clear the dining table get a good light, clean the excitable drool from your chin, read your motherboard manual, any other manuals before you go playing with the components and the work your way through the build.

Hell theres plenty of youtube clips showing people building computers watch a couple of those and save yourself LABOUR costs and you can buy better components..

Take your time dont play with static or water while you build and you should be fine, over concerned buy a static strap...

Have confidence and save cash and you'll love your machine even more...
