How Many people would be interested in the idea of have a tournament similar to the one running but have it go one step further.

• Have a ranking structure (Eg General-Private)
  
• Weekly Battles with a different Maps ever week (or fortnightly)
  
• Set Weekly Trainings for each Team
  
• Set Squads for the campaign
  
• Similar to the official PR tournament
  
• Mandatory Bootcamps to make sure everyone knows what going on (no Bootcamp = No Battle)
  
• Australian

It sounds kinda similar to the one already running IMO....

Its sounds similar to this one but includes more ideas from the real PR tournament.

People dont have enough time atm for weekly training and matches. Wait till after the current ladder imho

The community is only big enough to support the ladder comp we already have.

Could you clarify a few of these, Whitty? Some seem confused between a compaign/community night and a scrim ladder.

 

Have a ranking structure (Eg General-Private) - is this elective within clans/groups, or awards for service within the scrims?

 

Weekly Battles with a different Maps ever week (or fortnightly) - I think our system of challenging is superior to a weekly slot - a more flexible system. We have community nights and campaigns also.

 

Set Weekly Trainings for each Team: isn't this up to the team? eg bD has weekly training ATM, but others dont.

 

Set Squads for the campaign: This is not part of a ladder...and in any case this would be great, but it is difficult to do given the RL commitments meaning the same ppl are not always available between campaign rounds.

 

Similar to the official PR tournament: I think we are moving along well - if/when we have a bunch more clans and numbers it might become something more like it IMO. Although there is always contention about rules, these are being refined over time.

 

Mandatory Bootcamps to make sure everyone knows what going on (no Bootcamp = No Battle) Shouldn't this be regulated by clans themselves? They would prefer experienced players on the field, I'm sure.

If you have specific comments, I'm sure Psyrus, Jim, Darth etc would be happy to receive constructive feedback and suggestions on the current ladder system.

Reminds me of IC * International Conflict* in Joint Operations Typhoon Rising,You had to go through proper room clearing techniques, section leader try outs, formations etc etc.

Hi there,

 

Basically as whitty has already put it, we are wondering how many people would be intrested in playing in a slightly larger PR tournament.

 

We have most of the resources ready for this tournament. All we need now are intrested people.Now this isnt like your normal clan scrims, this tournament will be aiming more for realism and teamwork (not forgetting fun).

 

Anyway battle night will be once a week, you do not have to attend every single battle but it would be nice if you did and you may have one night assigned for training (there will be more details later).

 

The tournament will include.

 

*Two teams each with a General being the top of the food chain, whom will organise his team set up plans of attack for battle night.

 

*Different maps every battle.

 

*A proper ranking system where you will begin as a grunt and climb up ranks by being reccomended by your squad leader.

 

* Due to limited kits, you will attend courses to prove to your general that you are the best at using the specialty kits.

 

This tournament will be aimed at people who have a bit of spare time and wish to be part of a realistic and fun style tournament. If you a part of any clans, this is a tournament not a clan so your teams will be randomised.

 

This is a fun and social tournament, immature people will be removed.

I don't know how BigD/GSA will go discussing a competing ladder.

Well GSA/BigD kinda already run a realistic and teamwork filled campaign and it is about to finish in a week. After that we have to finish the 10v10 ladder comp and RL comes before PR here

As stated, we already have a campaign running, as well as one ladder comp and we have ideas and plans for the future in regards to both and more, not to mention our normal community nights.
