E6600C2D Equivalent of AMD's

What is the AMD equivalent of intels C2D range. ive been searching and searching but i cant find out

//**EDIT**// I found it never mind. I think im going to be going amd becuase it seems to be alot cheaper then the intel range.. The AMD AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core - 4600+ Socket AM2 is equivalent of E6600 interms of overall performance in it only costs $170 the E6600 costs $319, which is why when i first looked at the prices i thought th athlon 64 X2 Dual core must be an outdated processor.

so my final list for my computer is.....(hopefully will not change)

M2N-SLI Deluxe $197

7900GS - 256MB - PCIE - Asus Graphics Card - DDR3 $230

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core - 4800+ Socket AM2 $192(cheaper than motherboard)

im just goin to use my existing hdd and dvd drive plus screen. for the time being.

it's going to take me 9 weeks to earn $630 getting paid $6.10 an hour from shitty red rooster grrrr i need a new job........ cheap basterds

AMD released its dual-core Opteron server/workstation processors on 22 April 2005, and its dual-core desktop processors, the Athlon 64 X2 family, were released on 31 May 2005. AMD have also recently released the FX-60, FX-62 and FX-64 for high performance desktops, and Turion 64 X2 for laptops.

Intel is currently shipping Core 2 Quad microprocessors with four-core technology. Also Core Duo, Core 2 Duo, and Xeon (x1xx series) microprocessors with dual-core technology. These chips, based on the Pentium M (Core Duo) and Core (Core 2 Duo and Xeon) replaced the earlier Pentium D chips, which were based on the Pentium 4.

I would wait for the K10 to be released before you make any CPU purchases.

AM2's will be cheap as chips by then.
