Hi all - After noticing that no NZ users registered for the campaign, I realised that the registration data would be biased, especially if you couldn't attend this week's campaign trial.

 

So I've put up the questions that were in the registration form, to get a more complete picture of campaign preferences.

 

Assume scrims will be held at 20:30 AEST to cater for both NZ and WA users.

I voted for the same system I used last time, 3 matches each held weekly on a alternating day. Say Friday one week, Saturday the next and so on until the end of the campaign.

Yeah, if you like VisOne's method of alternating days, just post a message here and I'll take it into account (I can't change the poll options from what I can tell).

I would vote against alternating the days it would be more consistent if we use the same day each week/fortnight. If we used different days different people would be available/unavailable each round which kinda of goes against the whole statics teams for the duration of the campaign IMO. Plus it's just so damn confusing lol.

The main reason I alternated the days was so I didn't exclude anyone because they might not be able to make one day because of there job or some other real life issue. I wanted to cater to as many people as I possibly could since there held for the community and it seems wasteful to leave people out who could be catered to so easily.

 

However I'm not trying to shoot down any other ideas its just my reasoning behind it.

Sunday is winning by a vast majority at the moment so it seems kind of counter productive to make the campaign on say a Sunday, then Friday, then Saturday.

 

That would result in the available players being something like: 16, then 5, then 9 going by the current results.

 

Would it not be more logical to have 3 Sundays where we could get 16, 16, 16? That would be better for the vast majority of members as well as the campaign overall as far as I can see.

I think alternating days is great for the general community nights, for Vis's reasons, but a campaign would be better on the same night.

 

Yes, it would exclude some people (eg those working sunday nights and perhaps due to lateness in NZ on a sunday night) but it would mean a more consistent number of people who may be willing to commit to a multi-scrim campaign.

This poll closes 1 June, so keep on voting guys. Its pretty clear people like Sunday (sorry NZ) and scrims every 2 weeks. There is a close call between 3 and 5 rounds, so get in there and have your say!

I think if the trial is a sucess, move on to 3 rounds and see how that pans out.

 

If 3 rounds is successesful and everyone wants 5 rounds, then bump it up to 5 rounds for the second campaign, however, three is probably alot easier to manage and attendance would be more consistant over 3 rounds rather than 5 in my opinion.
