Glass Sandbags????

I was playing PR last night and I noticed that for some crazy reason the textures for sandbag walls were being interpereted as real time reflective material. Imagine a sandbag bunker made out of orange colored glass bricks all with real time reflections of their surroundings lol. This only happened on one round on Kyongan Ni then by the next map it was back to normal. But it sure was weird.

I'm 99% sure this has to do with Nvidia drivers or my new 8800 GTX OC graphics card. I have always used ATI up until now.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Known issue with BF2.

it has been discussed at lenght in virtually any forum you care to mention.

I think the PR devs looked into ib but said that unless they make new sandbag walls they cant do anything.

Some times they sho perfect, at other times they are glassy and others they are reflective.

It seems if you logout and join the game again it all works fine.

I've just learnt to live with it and stop drinking when it happens

I've heard of something like this but not to that extent a while ago I had strange geometry problems where little pyramids of dirt would be strangely placed around maps that I could walk through. Might have to do with the BF2 Alien Abduction mod though, I would suggest cleaning your BF2 Cache loading up and seeing if the problem reoccurs.

other than that your right might be driver issues and it could be as simple as updating or in some case's down grading to a previous version just remember to stay away from 'testing' or 'beta' type of drivers and stick with the proper releases when possible.

Ok thanks guys I'd say it is Nvidia then as I have been running BF2 on an ATI X800 XTPE since it came out and have never had this problem before. I'll try messing with the drivers.
I get the glass sand bags now and again, to be honest I just ignore them.
