i've seen alot of those battleplan series (history channel ftw) it's a good watch, i recommended it for those who havent seen it.

Eh I have seen it so many times its one of those default series they replay on the history channel every few weeks.

So a Television is like a monitor ..but with no keyboard..?

 

(I only watch it when in bed ,helps me sleep,so weird foriegn **** on SBS is what I usually see...).

Following British Grenadier company with personal video recordings.

Taped it. Will have to watch it. How was it?

A really good insight on what the soldiers and civilians think of the whole Afghanistan operation. Some excellent personal footage in the middle of a firefight. Theres a funny bit showing the Afghany soldiers all smoking joints and then getting up to go fight - bloody ridiculous. Also, the civvies are scared sh!tless of the Taliban, who apparently behead anyone they feel deserves it. A real eye opener.

Finished watching it and thought about buying it, after checking it on amazon I dont think I will lol.. Its about $28 AUD.

 

I was thinking maybe caz its military and not released in the last 12 months I might score it for $15 or so and would watch it again as Im sure there would be small bits I missed and it would be much better quality. But $28 without postage isnt really worth a 2nd watch.

Would love to get afew of these type things on dvd tho, but so far cant find any cheap, they seem to cost just as much as the latest released big block buster movies which is a bit silly I think..

On a different note, and it IS fairly geeky, is "The IT Crowd" on ABC1 after Spicks and Specks sit down and watch this with my wife and have a good laugh.

Hopefully thats all of it, I watched alot of it on youtube but wanted to see if there was more, downloaded torrent and got a massive 230+mins of footage.

 

And I wont be siging up, pay is not good enough, food and sleeping conditons are also not good enough for me.

Id rather be a contractor for black water or something, 5x better pay, less laws that you have to abide by to protect your self etc. Better accomidation, pay, conditions etc.

Haven't seen it for a long long time BUT, Battle for the Golden Road was a great doco on the Aust SAS, think it was late 80's early 90's vintage, should be on the net by now tho (o:
