Stick and Move Tactic

This might be old news to many. I just played ghost train and instead of running all over the play I decided to try something new. I walked for 15 seconds (not run) then dropped to knee for 10 seconds. Rinse then repeat. The amount of kills I got went up immensely, and the amount of ground my squad could cover went up a lot too.

It works because it takes 2 seconds to get your aim back after moving, so If someone runs up to you, you have better accuracy to take them down.. Also, because you are not running you are a lot harder to see.

Anyway it worked for me.

Makes sense, quite often if your running you become a far more visable target for those who are moving slowly and watching whats coming up on them..

Yeah if you move fast you sacrifice a lot of your defensive capabilities, Eg. No cover, no accuracy, high visibility, less situational awareness, louder footsteps, etc.

Moving slowly and using bounding overwatch (some players move while others cover then vise-versa) is much more combat effective and should be the default movement style when in a dangerous area and maximum speed is not required.

I do the same, on OGT, but drop the movement all together and I pick my position carefully (ie in the middle of a bush). Some people call this camping but I call it overwatch :p.

I agree will all your comments. Its definately not a new tactic, and I sure didn't invent it by any means. I just found, with the new patch, it really does work a lot better than with the old one.

If you run in this patch, you lose so much accuracy, for 2 seconds, that you could not hit someone right in front of you.

I was basicly running from cover to cover, the squad just slowed down a lot , we didn't do any fancy overwatch moves. We moved slowly but made lots of kills. We took ground slowly, but it was solid ground, unlike running, where you suddenly realise you have run into an ambush of your own making.

try a barn :D, but yes i do find that diving into a bush can be a life saving move. Love it on OGT when u lie in the grass and hear a squad run past i, Leap up and knife one of them in the back.

Yer I remember getting 57 kills to 7 deaths as a rifleman on that map, and all because I took my time.
