jump in, everything seems fine, around a minute after me being in the server, my game crashes to desktop, no error message, nothing. simply crashes, did it just b4, maybe i need a reboot, but dont see why when my game kicked me b4 for not having PB handshaking(that means pb initial message connected with the server) even after i updated it.

 

if it turns out i needed a reboot, i dont care, i need to have a rant sometimes aswell.

 

any1 got an idea why this would happen?

Yep my game crashes all the time. Sometimes I don't even get as far as logging in sometimes I go hours without a crash.

yep. whats ur internet speed. im pretty sure it drops out 4 me when the server has to many 4 my internet 2 handle. found out on thursday nite i believe when i couldnt get into server 1 (CTD straight away) with 40+ but server 2 had no probs

(ram hungry =any map with lots of trees...Fools/Qinling/mestia/OGTrain).

 

Do you use bf2 cleaner ?...cleans out the graphics cache in your BF2 folders...

its just random, happened on ghost train, though id been playing it earlier b4 almost a full game b4 the server crashed, then played it again for a while until my pc froze mid game after i heard some windows vista stupid sound in the background, after that, game hasent been running right.

 

i want my XP

 

btw i lag on qinling and foolroad but dont on mestia or OGtrain lol

 

and my internet is 8mb

Why stop there. Reformat and clean install of Windows

 

My ping has a **** sometimes at night but that's TPG. Already confirmed that through trace routes. My crashes aren't limited to any scenario they seem random. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the fact i'm running Windows XP Pro x64.

Nah it's more random than that I've had this CTD on various maps at various stages eg: map almost loaded or when I load in and start playing 1 min later boom, doesnt seem to be map specific just random usually is after a map load or loading though not during constatnt play.

I get mine during constant play just after I do something normal eg. Revive someone or shoot. Sometimes I click to log in or to join a server and it crashes to desktop.
