Remember to keep it off server especially during peak times, long story short when your in game your there to play the game keep your filming in your own server.

i was not going to use the bigdy server because why take the space from people who are there to play, i was going to use either the internode or game arena or my own server to film

Too easy just need to be said however feel free to continue to recruit for your under taking.

What kind of movie is it, and what do you need the actors to do?

The story goes like this..... The US has been pushed out Al Basrah and the US are conter attacking.

 

Part 1:

 

There is a cloumn of hummers heading into the little outpost thingy(cant remember name) when the lead hummer is taking out by an ied, the other hummers come to a screetching stop and the men bail out, The men from the hummers come under every fire from the insurgents defending the outpost, A rpg flies over head. All of a sudden a T-62 shows up and starts shooting at the US troops, then off in the distance you can hear the rumble of two M1A1 Abrams then BAM BAM.....T-62 down...Another T-62 come up to the left flank of one of the Abrams kills it. Quickly the other Abrams swings it's Turret towards the T-62 but its too late... As a seccond T-62 comes in. As the us troops are pinned down by the insurgents the SL calls in air support via the form of two A10's. The A10's fly in formation and bomb the crap outa the T-62's. Then two Cobra helicopters fly in spraying the dugin insurgents with gun fire and rocket fire.....

 

AS for actors i wills need A10pilots,Tankers, Cobra's, USMC, Insurgents and a 1 or 2 tech helpers. Everyone who participates will get a mention in the film and with Bigdy's approval so will Bigdy.

 

This is basical The first part of the Counter Offesive On Al Basrah. I want it to be a realistic movie.

 

If you have any idea's o please post as this is my first attempt at making a movie.

 

If you would like to take part in it post your name below. If you have a mic it would be better as you can communicate better but it's not needed.

I'm not sure if there are 2 cobras on that map or any map for that matter also to get all of what you want you will have to use the 64 player map which can cause alot of serious issues on a number of pc's. However other than that its a good little story and I'm sure you can make something interesting out of it so good luck.

If you want a PR server for a night, i can set something up. Its a good idea to increase the BR quality for filming anyway, which we normally do for movies.

Forgot to mention, i would forget about any 64P maps with BR, it causes serious issues, and we for one, will not enable it on 64P.

Thanks for the offer kinsman i might just take that offer up with once i get enough people to take part. My original plan for a server was to book the gamearena server for a night because you can book one of there servers for free. if we cant use the 64player map with BR then it will have to be a 32players map with two abrams and maybe 1 Cobra..... Does 32playr Al basrah have amour?

Battle recorder was on for the forum members night. all maps 32 and recording quality around mid level.

 

Happy to provide the server on a designated night, may be good for a Sunday as most that play on that night would be up for a movie.

that would be great to use it for a sunday night specialty game with BR on but only if the majority want to do that then fine but if not i could use internode or gamearena depends on the general consenses

im sure we can work something out, even if it is over a few weeks and we password the server for a few hours on evening.

 

Then give out the password to the people who want to be involved.

 

By using GSA - Bigdy server we can set it up exactly the way you want and even restart maps etc.

 

As for map. Al Basrah only has enough tanks etc in 64 version.

and the map has been done so many times in movies.

 

but it is the only one with alot of assets. Could do Greasy Mullet but it is an ugly map.

 

Just let me know what you need and we should be able to set it up.

thanks heaps darth. Could do it on Greasy mullet but as u said it fugly. I hope to start filming ine maybee two weeks i just need to write how each sceene plays out and adpated it to greasy. It could even be done on Ejod just have to scrap the cobra and a10 part.

 

the stroy for ejod could be the usmc is on the defenesive as mec amour and infantry units close in..

we could have the amour in those little dugout things fire on the incoming armour....yeh i think i might do it on Ejod ill have to right another story line and ill draw up some storyboards..hmm that sounds better imo.

Yeah stock setting for BR is 2, we usually increase to 4 for movie work.

We need about 20 people IMO to mkae it look like i want it to.

this is how ive worked it out.

 

4 people for the USMC tanks(two a piece)

6 people for the MEC tanks(3 a piece )

10 infantry (5 a piece )

How ever more the better as it will give it a beter effect. What i want is as the MEC tanks advance i want the ground infront of the US to be swaming with RPG'ers. Hopefully if i can get a scanner i can upload a picture of it.

if we combine it with Sunday nights then probably get many many more.

 

most people will not look at the little threads like this one or be bothered to post in it.

 

But

 

Put a link in the Sunday night members night and say the night is dedicated for movie them we should see the numbers grow.

 

may want to consider filming over a few nights as peoples attentions spans are limited and some want to come in and have a quick game.

 

you tell me when your ready and we will get the numbers moving

i suggested this type of thing a fair while ago and it got shot down .... anyway i don't think it will turn out good unless you are experienced with all the BF2 console commands and that shite.

Yeh i think filming over a few nights will be best as for consol commands it's not that hard there al listed on totalbf2 plus BR will be on so i can just download the BR file and use premier to edit. I think that i would be ready to start filming this sunday or next sunday depends if you guys want to do it this sunday. For this to work we will need great communication eg: TS,Vent.
