Hey guys,

Im having this issue sometimes where when I select the bigD server, from the server browser window, it pretty does a CTD. Sometimes I can restart PR and do it and it will work, sometimes it will CTD multiple times in a row. Not sure what to do, it may just be a BF2 thing but if anyone has any tips, that would be great….

Love you long time gunner <3

I like to wait till im nearly done, then pull out and yell "COVERING FIRE!!!"

Ahhh. Im so glad I have a GF and she doesnt read these forums...

well if you can be botherd but you should is reinstall every thing of bf2 even deleting you profiles

its old way to help fix bugs of the bf2v

idiots are hardcoded
BF2 is a very very fragile game. Generally an entire reinstall of BF2 (uninstall, delete left over folder + My Documents\Battlefield 2 folder, reinstall) fixes it.

Personally (touch wood) my BF2 doesn't play up but ppl that do sometimes use this...

Battlefield Cleaner is a small used to help optimize BF2 .

Battlefield Cleaner Features:

- Apply one accounts setting (graphics, controls, servers) to anothers to get rid of the annoyance of

creating a new account. (redoing controls, tooltips, etc.)

- Clean Server History

- View, Edit, and Add new favorite servers

- Clean Logo Cache

- Clean Graphics Cache

- Disable Movies

This program was written using managed c++ for various reasons, therefore

it requires the .NET framework. If you do not have this you will need to download it from:

Infidel,

If the reinstall doesn't help then step 2 - What hardware do you have and what router/modem?

I slowly developed CTD's with my last PC and when I finally replaced the Motherboard after a terminal failure guess what? All the CTD's disappeared completely. A *slightly* dodgy motherboard or, worse, cheap RAM is a common culprit in these cases. In my case, the PC was working fine for nearly 2 years but over the past 3 or 4 months it started playing up in BF2 as the heat slowly killed the MoBo...

Otherwise the problem might be a router setting but if it was working before with no problems then that is unlikely.

my pc is pretty old, wouldnt be suprised if its hardware causing it. I actually get major kernel level crashes aswell during gameplay of TF2 and BF2...Maybe i should look at upgrading, plus, it will mean i can play at a higher resolution than 1024x768 and increasing my settings from all Low

Well there's never been a better time than now to buy a new PC... decent PCs are available (sans M/K, Monitor... peripherals) for ~$700!!! About $1000 will net you something that can max out -almost- everything, except the latest and "greatest" that go overboard with graphics :p

QFT: Your computer is smart man. It tells you not to play the second worst PR map [burning Sands] (first is Wanda Shan).

QFT: if you dont get pissed off when you lose you dont care enough
