I think your all jumping the gun a bit,

it was reported that he had pneumonia (oh thank the heavens for spell checkers)

and apparently was taking sleeping pills because he was having trouble sleeping

so far it's a suspected 'accidental' death.

 

i'm pretty neutral as far as my opinion of him,

but it's a shame that his daughter 'Matilda' has to grow up without her dad.

 

sad stuff.

I think he killed himself. I wonder what was so wrong that he could not go on anymore. Even if it was an OD, to take drugs to that level because you needed to escape is still sad.

this was done 2mnths ago - and various sites are claiming various stuff - i wont put what they are claiming as i dont know if its fact or not.

 

but he seems a bit confused and distracted or maybe he is just very uncomfortable being interviewed.

 

anyway - there are worst things happening in the world - that may sound harsh - i feel for his family and little girl but how many other people will die today and it wont matter because their not famous.

Lot's but who cares they are not the Joker and don't effect me. I've not seen a movie in the theatre twice since Top Gun then Batman Begins was released. Saw it a couple time in the theatre so I have high hopes and Heath Ledger looked the perfect part.

Ordinarily I wouldnt jump the gun but he has been talking about his newfound sense of worthlessness in his own life for a while now.

He had most of lifes everyday problems taken care of by his acting talent, yet couldnt control himself enough to be around for his daughter to grow up.

Im just angry that the poor child has to grow up without her daddy, and that he didnt have the consideration or compassion to think about her and put her ahead of his own needs and wants.

Any father here will understand that - and no Im not trying to blindside those who arent parents, but its not something you will fully understand unless you have your own children (and even then some people wont understand...).

 

The report of pnuemonia bears no weight at this point - if he had it, he'd be in hospital -regardless, you dont take sleeping tablets to combat pnuemonia.

The police on the scene advised they found no evidence of pneumonia (no medication, etc).

 

I dont buy that it was an accident - you dont accidently overdose on sleeping pills. If you felt you needed to take extra because you were only getting two hours sleep a night, you take extra, and end up sick, you dont scoff down enough to kill yourself. He would have known what he was doing IMO, and Ill bet the coroners report says as much when its ready. Until then Ill leave this be.

Some people who take a lot of cocaine often end up resorting to taking sleeping pills to try counteract the effects to make them sleep.

 

Which if you take enough, the chemical imbalance leads to an overdose.

 

I'm not saying he did this, he may have just had insomnia and needed a decent night sleep. Shame to die at such a young age though.

Agree 100% here, although I'm not a father so I can't fully identify. The same goes for the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith

 

PS. It was "prescription medication" found in the apartment, which could mean anything however that doesn't change the fact that you can "accidentally" scoff 20 of them down your gob at once
