Posted January 7, 200817 yr Server 3 crash last night Was playing server 3 last night when it crashed. Time: 23:47 Daqing Oilfields had just completed and we were waiting at the countdown screen for Ejod map to commence and server crashed. Server then restarted the Seven Gates map. About 12 people were on the server at the time. Had only been playing Daqing Oilfields so unsure of how long server had been running without a crash.
January 7, 200817 yr Re: Server 3 crash last night Thanks Krazzy will have a look and pass it on. the biggest problem with crashes on server 2 and 3 (the original servers) is that there is not crash log created. January 7, 200817 yr Re: Server 3 crash last night Server 1 (the new one) is running on linux. We have had one official crash yesterday but otherwise its seems very stable. Saying that not everything we need is loaded onto the server as yet so fingers crossed. January 7, 200817 yr Re: Server 3 crash last night OK server 1 - started playing around 7:30am and server was either restarted or crashed just before 10:10am (adelaide time) on sunset city (approx 8 players) had 1 round on kyongan ni beforehand with no probs. there were no disconnects leading up to the crash. one strange thing - after crash/restart the server was instantly back up again with amagale re-joining. January 8, 200817 yr Author The Chinese team had just deployed a rally point. Spoke to amagale and he was disconnected as well but reconnected immediately and came up on the new map waiting for the start. Seems that the crash is very quickly resolved and the new map started.

Server connection was lost - tried to reconnect for 15 mins. - no success - error was "failed to connect" (standard message). Could not see any players being kicked at the time. Checked the Gametracker link for Server 1 and it showed Al Basrah as the running map and the list of connected players from the last map - I was also still in the list. Next update on Gametracker showed the game as down. Game server ip address was successfully pinged during this time.

January 9, 200817 yr We beleive we may have found the issue or at least an issue. It is do do with punkbuster and a possible memory leak. We have down a few things to see if it will fix it but we need it to be tested. All 3 servers have had this fix applied so if people can all jump into a server and test it. March 8, 200817 yr Server #1 crashed last night too on Fools Rd, near the end of the round - around 10:50pm. I had to update my PB yesterday, its not something simple a server-side PB update, is it? March 18, 200817 yr Server 2 has just crashed upon loading Al kurfah oilfields 16player this happened at 6:27pm (AEDT) the server was or very nearly full at around 32 players. March 19, 200817 yr Not a report of a server crash, but Al Bas gets quite a bit of lag when you get some decent numbers into the server. Not sure if it was a one off just then but it was getting pretty choppy.

March 19, 200817 yr Server crashed at 6:30pm AEDT, end of round of Al Basrah. Brits had just destroyed the last ammo cache, then the server froze. Players who loaded the next map (Qwai River) were stuck with a black screen and the "spawning in 0 seconds" message. Second time it's crashed on Al Basrah.
