I wouldn't mind having a bash at it. Though I need to get an adapter for my X360 steering wheel first..

I've been into LiveForSpeed some time back, works really well with force feedback on my Momo wheel. How does it compare? From what you say the mod community is a big plus.

Yeah I bought both around the same time, but Rfactor got me with the V8 Supacar mod that came out. FFB is awesome as well. Having open source is a huge plus tho.

Out of the box, rFactor is fairly 'meh'. I 'evaluated' the full thing when it first came out and I dismissed it as crap. The tracks were crappy and the cars were crappy. Then about 6 months ago some incredibly top class mods started to appear and It caught my interest. Haven't looked back. The 3rd party mods and tracks are so much better than anything that ships with the game it's not even funny (they have improved on this recently with some new tracks and the BMW F1). Those mods I listed before are top class. Since I bought it I have not once used one of the cars that came with the game.

Any other decent mods?

V8's while is good to bring out the aussie in everyone (even if they are from NZ :p)...but its kinda boring too!

Will let you know, when i am good to go.

Used to play it abit, but since i no longer have a wheel i dont see the point in playing it, unless one of you know a good config for a Logitech RumblePad 2
I use rfactor a lot & have a casual job at a Simulater Raceway in townsville .I haven't got the 1255 version on my PC yet,but I can go to work for a race not far

rFactor folder 16.5gb and counting, end up collecting so many cars and tracks! Been playing WCORR offroad racing lately with a bunch of guys from the states.
