My brand new Xbox 360 fell over yesterday thanks to my fat dog and scratched my Assassins Creed disc now it will start up but not load into game. Because the Xbox says its dirty, well its not its bloody scratched and now I can't play the buggery thing. I'm just wondering if anyone has had dealings with those CD/DVD repair dohickeys they have at EB or Gametraders.

Any help anyone can give me on how to fix this without having to buy a whole new disc would be great thanks in advance.

The scratchs don't look to be too deep so hopefully its all good and I'll find somewhere to do it on my day off.

Strange as it sounds "Mr sheen" has a similar refractive index to the clear plastic used in cd/dvds. try a small amount spread with the cleanest cloth you can find . spread it from the center out axially. It may work if the scratch isnt to deep and if it doesnt it wont prevent an abrasive resurface at a video store working.

Quick fix.
