October 29, 200717 yr Is it a KCF..? (thats when you have a problem between the Keyboard and the Chair, resulting in Failure.) sorry couldn't resist that, since I found out you have renamed the AIX bots with our names............heheheh http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee118/bahlye/bahlye007/mouse_zps73307fb2.gif
October 31, 200717 yr Make sure you are both part of the same workgroup.... I usually call it "WORKGROUP" if you run the XP network wizard it changes it to "HOME" I have also had simular issues when the "netbios" protocol wasnt installed...(in local area connection properties) Also worth checking your subnet mask is set the same (usualy 255.255.255.0) Hope this is of some help.... Probably something as simple as a faulty cat5/6 lead http://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/OperationCrownRibbon02.jpghttp://bigdgaming.net/images/added/awards/valorousunit.bmp
October 31, 200717 yr Networking is akin to witchcraft. Where's the cheese? http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/2315/ubd4327.png
October 31, 200717 yr Networking with wireless is like an incantation to invoke the devil... http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/rdeimel/T90sig.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/rdeimel/Badge-1.jpg I'm the dominatrix!
October 31, 200717 yr Set your own IP address. 10.0.0.'#' is always a good one. lol, thats default and automatic. Like everyone else said, also try pinging each other. Plus check your router settings, as they really aren't designed to be a network switch, which would be the better way of going about it if you've exhausted all other methods. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a41/Porrirdge/test2.png E6600, 2GIG XMS2, 1TB RAID 0,Gigaybyte GA-P965-DQ6, Leadtek 8800GTX 768MB, X-Fi Sound Card.
October 31, 200717 yr Default is usually 192.168.0."#" Depends on what router you are using, it may or may not change it to the 10.0.0.# http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/rdeimel/T90sig.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/rdeimel/Badge-1.jpg I'm the dominatrix!
